Day 175 of Tai Chi lymphatic movements✔️
Day 70 of 10K steps ✔️

One thing I’ve realized through this journey is that every time I choose to move my body, I’m making a decision for two people.

The person I am today. Aaaaand the person I’ll be five, ten, and twenty years from now.

Every walk.
Every movement.
Every small habit.

It’s all an investment in my future self.

Not because I’m chasing perfection. Because I want to stay strong, healthy, and capable for as long as I can.

That’s one reason that keeps me showing up.
Tell me one reason that keeps you going 👇

✨ Comment METHOD if you’re ready to stop relying on motivation and start building habits your future self will thank you for.

Day 173 & 174 of moving my body ✔️✔️
19K steps ✔️ 10K steps ✔️

The garden is in full swing right now, so that’s where I’ve been spending most of my time.

Weeding.
Harvesting.
Cleaning.
Processing everything that’s ready.

Peas.
Beans.
Beets.
Greens.
Cherries.
Tomatoes.
Peppers.
Ground cherries.
Chamomile.
Calendula.

Throw in some Tai Chi/Qigong, paddling pools with the kids, and family walks, and it’s been some pretty awesome summer days.

One thing this journey has taught me is that motivation has very little to do with whether I move my body.

Some days I’m excited to get outside. Some days I’d rather stay on the couch. Either way, I move.

Because when you stop relying on motivation and start relying on habits, showing up becomes so much easier.

That’s what changes everything.

Day 169 ✔️ Day 170 ✔️ Day 171 ✔️ Day 172 ✔️

10K steps ✔️✔️✔️✔️

Quick little catch-up. 😅

I’ve still been showing up every day. Tai Chi lymphatic movements ✔️ 10K steps ✔️

The only thing that slipped the last few days… was posting. I’ve been making a conscious effort to get to bed earlier, and for me that has meant choosing sleep instead of staying up until midnight editing videos.

A few months ago I would’ve pushed through because I didn’t want to “miss” a day. Now I’m realizing that taking care of myself sometimes means putting the phone down and going to bed.

The habit I’m building isn’t posting on Instagram. The habit I’m building is showing up for myself. Those are two very different things.

That’s really what my Anti-Motivation Method is about. Not waiting until you feel like it. Not relying on motivation. Just making the decision, over and over again, to do the thing you said you were going to do. Because those little decisions compound.

And… there are a couple of really exciting things happening behind the scenes that I can’t share just yet, but I promise I will soon. 😊

In the meantime…

We’ll now return to our regularly scheduled programming. 😂

Day 164 of moving my body ✔️
Day 59 of 10K steps ✔️

It was hot as f**k today… close to 40°C (that’s 104 for my American peeps) with the humidity. 🥵

We got out early for a family bike ride and rode 10K before the heat really settled in.

The rest of the day was all about attempting to staying cool.

Little bursts of movement here and there, lots of water and electrolytes, and trying to find a spot under a fan whenever I could. We don’t have air conditioning, so it was also 30–40°C inside the house too 🥵

By the end of the day I still had a few steps left, so I finished them on the rebounder.

Here what 160+ days has taught me: Consistency isn’t about having ideal conditions. It’s about finding a way to keep showing up with whatever the day gives you.

Some days it’s long walks. Some days it’s gardening. Some days it’s a family bike ride. And some days it’s getting your last few steps in on a rebounder because it’s simply too hot.

The goal isn’t a perfect routine.

It’s building habits you can keep coming back to, no matter what life looks like.

🫶 See you tomorrow for day 165. ✌️
