The Bull Runner

The Bull Runner Run strong. Eat clean. Live well. Daily Inquirer, Southern Living, Style Weekend, and Smart Parenting. As for Jaymie, she continues to run longer and farther.

The Bull Runner (www.thebullrunner.com) was created by Jaymie, a 30-something wife and mother of two who started her blog in May 2007. She wanted to share her newfound passion for running with anyone who cared to listen and to provide race and running-related information to runners like her who didn't know where and how to start. Since then, thebullrunner.com has received hundreds of thousands of

hits, bagged the only two awards in the sports category at the 2008 Philippine Blog Awards, and has been on the cover of Runner's World Philippines and Soul BGC and featured in other publications such as Multisport, Men's Health, Preview, Phil. In April 2009, Jaymie launched The Bull Runner Magazine, a free quarterly publication for runners. In 2010, she launched the first and only marathon in the world that caters to first time marathoners: The Bull Runner Dream Marathon. She has run ten marathons: New York City Marathon, Berlin Marathon, London Marathon, Tokyo Marathon, HK Marathon, Singapore Marathon, California International Marathon, Condura Marathon and QC International Marathon. She also finished Ironman 70.3 Cebu in 2012 and 2013.

Koko Crater Trail is one of Hawaii’s most iconic hikes, built along an old railway track that climbs more than 1,000 steps up the side of a volcanic crater. The trail is short but extremely steep, with panoramic views of the coastline, Hanauma Bay, and the east side of Oahu at the summit.

It took us 30mins up and 21 mins down, and we had a lot of fun along the way despite the sweat and steepness lol. (For Vancouverites, this was easier than our Grouse Grind but just as rewarding when you see the view from the top!)⛰️

After the hike, we rewarded ourselves with the famous malasadas from Leonard's Bakery which was a short drive from the trail. We're not huge donut (or sugar) fans but this definitely made me one for the day! 😋
