Perimenopause and menopause shouldn’t feel like something we have to figure out alone. ❤️

There is SO much information coming at us—protein, strength training, hormones, supplements, sleep, stress—and sometimes even more confusion about what actually applies to you.

But what concerns me most is access.

Good women’s health care, credible information and meaningful support shouldn’t be available only to those who can afford it.

We need more equity in women’s health.

And we need more C.A.R.E.—care for our minds, our changing bodies, and the parts of ourselves that can sometimes get lost during this transition.

At Zili CARE, we want to listen before we build.

Where are you in your journey? What are you struggling with? What support do you wish you had?

Tell us in the comments or send us a DM. ❤️

Because women deserve accessible, equitable support—and they deserve to feel cared for through every stage of life.

That’s C.A.R.E. ❤️
Love DrZ

“Don’t meditate to fix yourself. Meditate to meet yourself.”

I leave this silent meditation retreat facilitated by our health champion at with a heart full of gratitude.

For the stillness.
For the wisdom of Dr. Mark Sherman.
For the moments of discomfort that became insight.
For the reminders that silence is not empty; it is full of what we have been too busy to hear.

One of the favourite quotes from Ram Dass shared:

“We’re all just walking each other home.”

This week reminded me that home is not a destination. It is the place within ourselves that we return to when we slow down enough to listen.

In silence, surrounded by nature and community, we walked one another home—back to presence, back to truth, back to our hearts.

Immense gratitude to everyone who shared this journey on Cortes Island.

Leaving this week with a full heart and a quieter mind. What a gift it is to simply pause and listen. ❤️DrZ

Some evenings end when the lights go down.

This one didn’t.

Beyond Wellness brought together more than 440 people around a shared vision of health rooted in authenticity, belonging, and care.

What emerged from the evening was a clear message: people are looking for more than information. They are looking for connection, community, humanity, and hope.

This impact report captures not only what happened on April 21, but where this movement is headed next: more conversations, more community gatherings, more interdisciplinary collaboration, and a continued commitment to creating meaningful change in the way we think about health, healing, and healthcare itself.

Beyond Wellness exists to challenge fragmented models of wellbeing and help build more compassionate, human-centered systems of care.

To everyone who showed up with openness and courage, thank you.

We are only just beginning.

Nikki Baxendale brought something truly special to Beyond Wellness on April 21.

Through her collaborative artwork, she invited every participant to become part of a collective creation, a visual reflection of connection, presence, and shared humanity. Watching the canvas evolve throughout the evening was a beautiful reminder that meaningful change is rarely created alone. It is built one contribution, one conversation, and one act of participation at a time.

Nikki’s generosity, creativity, and unwavering support helped transform the experience into something even more memorable. Her work not only inspired our guests to express themselves, but also created a lasting piece that carries the energy of everyone who gathered that evening.

We are deeply grateful for Nikki’s contribution to Beyond Wellness and for using her art as a bridge between people, purpose, and community.

Thank you, , for reminding us that when individual stories come together, they create something far greater than any one of us could create alone.

A candid moment from our latest podcast episode reflecting on Beyond Wellness.

The conversations may have ended that night, but the movement continues.

Behind every meaningful gathering, there are people and organizations who choose to believe in the vision before it fully comes to life.

Beyond Wellness was a collective effort built on trust, generosity, and shared values around authenticity, belonging, and care. Our sponsors and partners played a deeply important role in making this experience possible, not only through support, but through believing that conversations around human connection, healthcare, and wellbeing truly matter.

Because of them, we were able to create a space where people felt seen, heard, connected, and inspired.

We are sincerely grateful to every sponsor, partner, and supporter who stood beside us and helped bring this movement into reality. Your impact went far beyond the stage. It became part of the energy, conversations, and memories that people carried home with them.

Thank you for helping us create something meaningful together.

“Ebbs and Flows of Life” is a space for honest conversations about the rhythms of being human, the highs and lows, the growth, the uncertainty, the resilience, and the meaning we create through it all.

In this new episode, Dr. Z and Dr. B reflect on their insights and experiences from the Beyond Wellness movement that began on April 21 at Granville Island Stage Theatre. A conversation about community, authenticity, belonging, care, and what happens when people come together with the intention of creating something deeper than just an event.
