TB Vets Help bring respiratory equipment to BC's medical frontline: tbvets.org/donate

Founded as an initiative to provide employment to WWII veterans suffering from tuberculosis, TB Vets has grown over the following decades into what it is today: a leading charitable foundation funding respiratory equipment, research and education in British Columbia and beyond. Every year TB Vets funds approximately 20 ventilators, provides bursaries to respiratory therapy students, contributes to

lung research, and continues to support isolated TB patients at Vancouver General Hospital’s TB Ward.

Every Respiratory Therapy student needs a stethoscope to save lives. This year, TB Vets is on a mission to equip the next generation of frontline medical heroes—including students like Madison!

Watch the video to hear directly from Madison on what this critical support means for her medical training. 🩻✨

A high-quality stethoscope is a lifeline in a respiratory emergency. For just $160, you can sponsor a stethoscope and help launch a life-saving healthcare career.

We need your help to hit our goal before the June 30th deadline! ⏳

We are incredibly proud to share a look at the new specialized comfort chairs that TB Vets has funded for the children and families at Canuck Place Children's Hospice !
These beautifully designed, supportive chairs are a game-changer for pediatric care. They provide specialized, gentle support that ensures children stay safe, secure, and completely comfortable without any risk of injury during use.

Best of all? They are fully mobile. Equipped with smooth-rolling casters, these chairs allow caregivers to easily move a child from room to room—whether they are joining the family in the living area, resting in a bedroom, or moving closer to a window to enjoy the day. This simple mobility means children don't miss out on a single moment of connection and togetherness.

Thank you to our incredible donors and supporters who make life-enhancing gifts like this possible. Together, we are helping provide comfort, safety, and a sense of home when it matters most.

Doctors warned the pregnancy could put her life at serious risk.
What she chose next is a powerful story of courage, sacrifice, and a mother’s love.
This Mother’s Day, we honor moms like Mary — whose strength carries families through the unimaginable.
Stories like hers are why TB Vets continues to support veterans and their families facing serious illness.

"Within minutes... the baby's vital signs improved, her colour picked up, and we were able to get her through a challenging situation. Today, that baby is thriving... and is a joy to her family." — The Neonatology Team at Victoria General Hospital.

We are incredibly moved by this recent update from the . Last year, TB Vets was proud to contribute $12,500 toward a new fleet of specialized heated humidifiers. These essential devices ensure that even the most fragile patients—like the premature babies in the NICU—receive the warm, hydrated air they need to breathe safely and heal.

Without this technology, medical gases are too cold and dry for a tiny infant’s lungs to process. Your support provides these life-saving tools, supporting over 7,300 patient uses each year across Vancouver Island.

Thank you for giving our healthcare heroes the tools to respond with "greater precision, confidence, and safety." Together, we are ensuring that advanced respiratory care stays close to home.
