Making the Difference’ for close to 100,000 patients every year, the ARCHIE Foundation provides all of the extras that allow an enhanced level of care for local children. We provide key staff posts such as the ARCHIE Specialist Nurse, the ARCHIE Play Leader and the ARCHIE Family Support Worker. We buy life changing medical equipment and fund specialist training to ensure the local healthcare teams

can always provide the most up-to-date and high quality care. We buy toys, books and computer games, run art workshops and provide musical concerts in the hospital – often at the bedside of children who are too sick to come to our communal play areas.

Meet Mollie-Rose. Music has always been a huge part of Mollie-Rose’s life, and she loves any opportunity to step onto a stage. She has been performing since she was two years old, dreams of one day reaching the West End, and will be sharing her talent as part of this year’s Archie Variety Show🎤

Following the loss of her baby brother Keegan, Mollie-Rose was supported by Archie’s bereavement team, helping her understand and talk about her feelings during an incredibly difficult time. Through that support, and with the love of her family, she has grown into the confident, caring and resilient young person they are so proud of today.

Taking part in the Variety Show has helped her build friendships, grow in confidence and give something back to a charity that has supported her family throughout their journey💙

Meet Nicole and Evie. These two will be singing together in the Variety Show, bringing friendship, courage and plenty of heart to the stage. These two started of as strangers (to many peoples surprise), but it’s quite clear they were destined to be friends!👯

Nicole was supported by Archie after losing her dad, with counselling and child-friendly materials helping her understand that it is normal to feel lots of different emotions. Her family are proud of the strength she has shown and the support she gives to others.

Evie has been under the care of the children’s orthopaedic team since birth, and when she later broke her arm, Archie helped with a Limbo cover so she could still enjoy being near water on a family holiday.

Together, Nicole and Evie show just how many different stories sit behind one shared performance💙

A huge well done to everyone who took on Ride the North this weekend in support of The Archie Foundation! 💙

We’re so proud of every single rider who took on the challenge, pushed through the miles and helped raise vital funds to support babies, children and families when they need us most.

From all the training and fundraising in the lead up, to crossing that finish line on the day, you should all be incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved!

A massive thank you to everyone who rode, donated, shared fundraising pages and cheered our riders on along the way, helping us continue making a difference for local families.

Meet Leona. For her, the piano has become something she can truly call her own. It has given her confidence, a sense of achievement and a place to shine🎹

Leona was born with a blood disorder and spent a lot of time in hospital. She has also faced challenges linked to global development delay, but music has given her an escape and a skill she is proud of. Archie supported Leona and her family through toy boxes, entertainment and accommodation so her mum could stay close by.

Her family say last year’s show helped Leona realise she can make friends anywhere, and they are so proud to see her sharing her music again💙

Meet Mollie, Saydie and Jessica. This group will be singing together in the Variety Show, with friendship and confidence at the heart of their performance🎤

Mollie was supported by Archie following a car accident that really affected her confidence. She went through an extremely difficult time and her family were so proud of how she came back on top. Saydie has been supported by Archie following the loss of her auntie who she was extremely close to, with activities and experiences helping her build confidence and create positive memories. Jessica was supported by Archie during hospital stays when she was younger, when a play specialist helped her overcome her fear of taking medication.

For all girls, being part of the show is a chance to step forward, try something brave and enjoy the confidence that comes from performing with others💙

A huge thank you to Rorie! She recently took on an incredible sponsored haircut, with her sponsorship fundraising going towards Archie and her hair, which she had an amazing 12 inches cut off, was donated to the Little Princess Trust💇‍♀️

Rorie managed to raise sponsorship which totalled an incredible £766.25 (including Gift Aid). She decided to support Archie to ensure families were able to get support during difficult times.

Well done, Rorie! What a thoughtful and inspiring fundraiser to take on. Your kindness will make a real difference to local children and their families. Thank you for making a difference💙

Meet Fiona. She is returning to the Archie Variety Show for a second year and this time she’s taking on an exciting new challenge by stepping onto the stage as a solo performer. This year, she is performing a song that means a great deal to her and is excited to share it with the audience🎶

Fiona was supported by Archie’s bereavement service following the loss of her mum. With support from Archie, she has learned to navigate some very difficult emotions while building confidence and resilience along the way.

Her dad says it has been inspiring to watch her grow in confidence, and taking part in the Variety Show has helped her realise she is capable of more than she ever thought possible💙

Meet Josh. He has become a familiar face at the Archie Variety Show and is always ready to entertain. Whether it’s comedy, magic or making people laugh😆

Josh has spent time in hospital following a serious car accident, surgery and, more recently, through his autism diagnosis. Throughout it all, Archie helped make those experiences less frightening with toys, activities, and welcoming spaces where he always felt comfortable and supported.

Taking part in the Variety Show has helped Josh make lasting friendships, grow in confidence and inspire others to get involved too. He has also worked hard to raise money for Archie, taking on fundraising challenges to help other children and families receive the same support he did💙
