Most back pain isn’t a strength problem. It’s a compression problem.
Here’s something that doesn’t add up:
There are millions of people walking around weaker than you who don’t have back pain.
You’ve played sport. You garden. You walk for miles. By every conventional measure, your posterior chain should be “strong enough.” Yet you’ve probably been told your lower back is weak — and that the fix is to strengthen it further.
That doesn’t make sense. And for a lot of people, it’s the wrong diagnosis entirely.
If the fascia around your spine is tight and compressed, loading it with more strength work doesn’t fix the problem — it can tighten the compression further.
What actually needs to happen:
→ The fascia needs releasing
→ The spine needs opening, not bracing
→ Your glutes, hamstrings, and upper back need to be trained correctly — so they take the load off your lower back instead of dumping it there
I can map exactly which fascia lines are compressed in your back in under 10 minutes.
If your back pain hasn’t responded to “just get stronger,” this might be why.
