Empathy is a consequence of healing a wound borne from inequality, inequity, fear, prejudice, shame, betrayal, mistakes, weaknesses, stereotyping, loss, vulnerability, grief, inexperience, low self esteem, powerlessness and I have experienced these first hand from my brothers and sisters in this lifetime.
Big hard, tear jerking, heart wrenching, what the actual f**k kinda lessons but I will not become hardened, I will not stop being kind nor loving. I will continue to be hopeful and optimistic.
It takes courage, strength and determination to continue to work through your own struggles but with self love and care for yourself you develop a deeper understanding and compassion for the experiences of others facing similar challenges.
The process of healing can foster a sense of connection and shared humanity, leading to heightened empathy. As people become more aware of their own vulnerabilities and the complexities of their emotions, they may become more attuned to the feelings and needs of others. This understanding can help break down barriers of prejudice and stereotyping, promoting a more inclusive and compassionate society.
Empathy is not only a response to personal healing but also a critical component in building relationships and communities that prioritize understanding and support for one another.
