Lovely Saturday down on the plot. We dug up the last of the potatoes, found handsome worms, harvested lettuce, alien carrots AND got the wooden frames up for the Polly tunnel.
Massive thanks to reclaimed materials for the excellent reclaimed wood.

We are looking forward to starting up our regular term time activities again next month.

Commencing Tuesday 1st September:

🦊Tuesdays 10am - 11am. Grow and Play outdoor toddler group. Free thanks to funding from the National lottery.

🦋Tuesdays 12pm - 2pm. Women's art and gardening group. Sugested £3 donation . Funded by Sutton Coldfield Neighbourhood Network Scheme.

🌱Saturdays 10am - 12pm. Multi generational gardening group. Free funded by Sutton Coldfield Neighbourhood Network Scheme.

Enjoy the beautiful outdoor space with pleantiful herbs, a wildlife pond, roses, raised beds, a mud kitchen and plenty of seating.

Lovely morning on the plot, much cooler today which was very conjusive to working ! Everything is still super dry so we gave all plants the a good watering.
We planted out some mint varieties that were gifted to us (thank you 💚), cleared brambles and sycamore, cut back the wild flower patch and spread the seed heads distributing the seeds back into the ground, drank mint infusions and harvested tomatoes. A few of the plumbs are delisious and sweet too 😍

And we watched the pond for a while too, always a highlight at EcoGrow sunnybank! A pigeon came by for a drink.
