0.5ML vs 1ML — HOW MUCH FILLER ARE YOU ACTUALLY GETTING? 💉

Ever wondered what the difference between 0.5ml and 1ml of dermal filler actually looks like?

It’s easier to understand when you can SEE it. 👀

0.5ml of filler = half a millilitre
Think of this as a smaller amount of product, often ideal for a subtle enhancement, a little hydration or a small amount of added volume.

1ml of filler = one full millilitre
That’s twice the amount of product as 0.5ml — but it’s still only 1ml in total.

💡 And here’s the important bit…

1ml does NOT mean 1ml in each lip, cheek or area being treated. The filler is measured as the total amount of product in the syringe.

Our ethos at Aesthetics at Oak Tree is tweak, don’t over-treat. The amount that is right for you depends on your anatomy, your desired result and the area being treated.

Sometimes 0.5ml is enough. Sometimes 1ml is more appropriate. More product doesn’t automatically mean a better result.
