Pride Month is a celebration of being able to live openly, authentically and without barriers.

At Blatchington Court Trust, we're committed to creating an environment where blind and partially sighted children and young people feel safe, included and free to be themselves.

We know confidence grows when people know they are accepted, friendships flourish when everyone feels they belong, and communities are stronger when diversity is celebrated.

This Pride Month, we're proud to stand alongside our LGBTQ+ clients, families, staff, volunteers and supporters.

Whether you love rides or fancy a wander, come and meet new people and enjoy the summer with our trip to Brighton Palace Pier for a fun afternoon followed by dinner!

Try your hand at the arcades and experience the thrills of the rides. With two arcades, you'll have plenty of options to choose from including all the classic games. On Sunday, Blatchington Court Trust attended the Brighton and Hove Soiree Rotary Club Festival, enjoying a fantastic day meeting members of the local community.

Our Trustee Shelley was joined on the stall by BCT team members Gemma, Connor, his PA Dave and Bernadette. Despite some very windy conditions, we had a great time speaking to lots of people about the support we provide for children and young people with sight loss across Sussex.

We were also delighted to welcome plenty of visitors to our stall and celebrate a number of lucky raffle prize winners throughout the day.

A huge thank you to the organisers and everyone who stopped by to chat with us. The festival was very well attended, and we're already looking forward to hopefully being back again next year!

At their next meet-up, the Possability People's Get Involved Group will be talking all about Brighton & Hove seafront & beach.

Is it accessible for you? Do you get down there as often as you would like? What stops you going? What would make it better?

The meet-up takes place on Monday 16th June from 1.30-3.30pm at Montague House, Montague Place, Kemptown BN2 1JE (wheelchair accessible venue).

Please feel free to either drop in or go for the whole time. They meet on the 3rd Monday of the month, alternating in-person meet-ups and online workshops. No need to RSVP but feel free to contact them if you have any questions or accessibility requirements.
