Celebrating Our Volunteers 💜
We are proud to support volunteers, many with lived or familial experience, who have gone on to become valued members of our workforce, helping us grow and strengthen our services.
Benjamin P initially joined us through the Pilot EDIR project in the Vale, through his dedication and hard work, he has successfully progressed into a role within our Peer Recovery and Aftercare Team.
Alex began her volunteering journey as a VAC Representative before moving into volunteering with CAVDAS. She has been an incredible support to our Homeless and Assertive Outreach (HAO) Team, with her contribution playing a key role in supporting the s*x work community, working alongside Safer Wales and contributing to the EDIR project. Through her dedication and passion, Alex has made a real difference within the communities we serve. More recently, she applied for a full-time role within the HAO Team and has successfully been appointed.
Benjamin B has supported CAVDAS in a range of volunteering roles, with much of his time dedicated to our fantastic Children and Young People (CYP) Team. He came into volunteering with a genuine passion for the work we do and the people we support. Volunteering played an important part in Benjamin’s journey, helping him rebuild confidence and develop his skills as he worked towards returning to employment. Through his commitment, Benjamin secured a role within the Vale Pilot EDIR project alongside Benjamin P. More recently, he has successfully interviewed for a role within the EUASP.
Will began his volunteering journey in the Vale, supporting our Harm Reduction Lead, Laura, with outreach work. He then went on to support the Cardiff Homeless and Assertive Outreach (HAO) Team, working alongside Peer Navigators to reach and support individuals within the community. Through his dedication and passion, Will successfully secured a full-time role as a Peer Navigator within the HAO Team. He is now playing a key role in expanding our reach and strengthening support for people within Cardiff’s homeless communities.
