Back in the saddle! 🐴

After a couple of years away, Sophie and Olivia are back enjoying one of their much-loved activities: horse riding!

Both ladies rode for many years but had to stop when it was no longer possible to support them safely. After a long search for a suitable centre, we’re delighted they’re now attending Hitts Barton Equestrian Centre, supported by East Devon Riding for the Disabled.

The EDRDA team have been wonderful, providing personalised support and helping the girls build relationships with both the staff and horses. Sophie showed fantastic confidence at her first session, getting straight back on a horse! She even signed ‘friends’ when reunited with the horses. Olivia has also been full of excitement and is gradually rebuilding her confidence, enjoying grooming and spending time with the horses while working towards getting back in the saddle.

It’s wonderful to see the ladies reconnecting with something they love, at their own pace and with the right support in place. A huge thank you to Hitts Barton Equestrian Centre and EDRDA for helping make this possible. It’s a brilliant example of how personalised support and inclusion can open up opportunities and bring so much joy.

The Great West Run takes place on Sunday 23rd May, starting from Exeter Arena, and we genuinely can’t wait. It was one of the absolute highlights of 2026 for us, and we’re really excited to see how much bigger and better we can make the Run for CEDA team in 2027!

What a night! ⚽️

A huge thank you to for hosting CEDA’s very own Sarah and her family at Exeter City v Oxford United as part of the .

Sarah was nominated in recognition of the amazing fundraising work happening at CEDA and the part her whole family has played in this over the last year. They were treated to a brilliant evening of hospitality, and what a game to watch! A 2–2 draw, a last-minute scare, and then Exeter City winning on penalties! 😱

The children were absolutely over the moon — and we're sure they now have very high expectations for future sporting events! 😂

Thank you to Ellen and everyone at AMS, and to Charlotte, Josh and the team at Exeter City Football Club , for making Sarah and her family feel so welcome. Sarah even got the chance to chat about the evening with Greg Hill .

Thank you again to everyone involved for such a memorable evening! 🙌

Today is World Cerebral Palsy Day – a day to raise awareness, challenge misconceptions and celebrate the lives, achievements and contributions of people with cerebral palsy.

Last year, we spoke to Paul about his experience of living with cerebral palsy, sharing his story and helping others understand a little more about his life and we are sharing that conversation again today.

Cerebral palsy is the most common lifelong physical disability, yet it remains one of the most underfunded and overlooked disability and global health issues.

Look up World CP Day for more information on the impact of Cerebral Palsy around the world, and campaigns to drive policy change, secure global funding, and strengthen the CP360 movement.

🎓 CEDA at the Exeter University jobs fair!

CEDA are at the Jobs and Volunteer's fair at The Forum Street, Streatham Campus today. Nick and Izzy from our youth services team will be there from 11am - 2pm meeting students and talking about the work we do at CEDA, the opportunities available and how people can get involved in supporting disabled people across Exeter and beyond.

It's a great chance to connect with the next generation of potential colleagues, volunteers and supporters — and to share a little more about what makes CEDA such a special place to work.
