Ali Rabjohns

Ali Rabjohns I'm a Paqo from the Andean Mystical Tradition, and a Transpersonal Arts Counsellor, MBACP (Accred).

Ali is a Paqo from the Andean Mystical Tradition with a lineage from the Q'ero nation in the High Andes. Paqo [pa-ko] is the term for a person who is trained in and practices the Andean mystical tradition, or an Andean healer. She runs a year long paqo training programme as well as regular shamanic and creative workshops, ceremonies and healing sessions to my community at large. As an Arts Counsel

lor, Ali works with clients 1:1 in her sustainable eco lodge, as well as in schools locally. She's an artist and enjoys working with natural colours and textiles including felt and weaving. England. For more information on Ali, see her website www.alirabjohns.com. Creative therapeutic and shamanic approaches can help us to articulate things that are difficult to explain verbally. Both approaches work with our innate bodies wisdom and our imagination. These techniques help our souls to express themselves through journeying and the creative arts, allowing us to fully release and bring into balance whatever may be holding us back from our fullest potential.

One of the reasons I came to Peru, was to learn to weave and warp a backstrap loom, so that I could continue weaving in this way in my own textiles practice. This technique is teaching me about the power of these old ways and patterns that are thousands of years old. I can feel the land holding me as I work ( although I must admit - it has not been an easy process! 😆) Mamacha is a great teacher .. and still it felt like going through a long and challenging labour 🥰

💦I started with an offering to the lake Mama Piuray. Water carries my love and prayers. My medicine bag is still unfinished, like me - a work in progress! But I love it, especially the deep green.. which is Ch’illca onto grey sheep’s fleece.

🌺A beautiful healing flower bath yesterday that opened a deep process in preparation for the Ñ’usta Pilgrimage that starts today.

🐻A bear heart in the mountains that showed me what protection and having my back really means.

💕And hummingbirds - reminding me that sweetness is always near, even in the middle of change.

With deep gratitude to Emerita, Valerio, Mamacha, Braulia, Alicia and the communities that welcomed me with open hands.

This is not a letting go. This is a remembering.

Why would I ever want to return to the UK?! ( just kidding) xx 😉🦙

✨💕Watched a beautiful documentary last night - Sembradoras de vida - about Andean women working the land through ceremony, climate change and quinoa and potato farming.

🗻Such a moving film, and made even more special because I'm currently staying with one of these incredible women myself: Braulia, a Quechuan weaver who's teaching me her craft here in Peru. The colours and craftsmanship in theur traditional outfits are extraordinary - take a look! 🌈

Beautiful Lammas poem by Caroline Mellor Caroline Mellor

Bless the earth underfoot
the breeze on my neck
the still dawn
the open sky
the feather fall
the beetle climb
the crow call
the swift fly
the cloud drift
the rising sun
the barley field
the river run
the grass seed
the ripe plum.

Bless the toad leap
the thunderclap
the kingfisher and dragonfly
the sunlight dancing on the water
the wild flowers growing in the summer
the meadowsweet
the honey bee
the blackberry moon
the gliding swan
the eyes to see
the ears to hear
are all part of the river’s song.

Bless the seed
on fertile ground
the skylark trill
the morning mist
the hazy heat
the twilight glow
the meteor shower
the midnight kiss
the fields and stones
the Lammas bread
the wheel that turns
that all are fed.

Bless us, Grain Mother
Harvest Queen
Demeter and Persephone
Sun God and John Barleycorn
All that dies shall be reborn

Bless this body
this breath
this good earth
this new day

May our dreams of days and years to come
be blessed by the radiant golden sun.

May abundance be a constant friend
by our hearths ‘til winter’s end.

Blessed Lammas to all

lammas - weaving three worlds 🌾

✨A new meditation is here.

As the wheel turns toward autumn and winter, this journey is about tending the seeds of light within us – nurturing what we’ve grown, so it can rest, root, and be carried through the darker months ahead.

🍃A moment to weave the three worlds together, and hold your inner light gently as the outer world begins to dim.

🌾 Sit somewhere quiet
🌿 Let your breath settle
🌾 Tend the light you’re carrying within

🧜‍♀️Such gratitude to be able to prepare for Peru now, this beautiful plant spirit Serenita Bobinsana ( in the song) I’m sure will be helping me at some point during our pilgrimage 💚✨

🌌Full Moon fire tomorrow evening my lovelies at 7.30..🔥🌝

Come and be bathed in the light of the Buck Moon 🌕 ✨

📗We are also celebrating the Clan Mother of the Sixth Moon Cycle - Storyteller 🦋

Tell me a story, sweet Mother,
Of the Ancestors and their days,
Of how they walked with beauty,
Learning of Medicine Ways.

As you relate the stories,
I am allowed to see
The importance of every lesson
And how it applies to me.

Through another’s example
I share the laughter and the tears.
Through another’s experience
I can learn how love can conquer fear.

Together we can journey
Through those other times,
Reclaiming all the wisdom
Of the legacies left behind.

Jamie Sams 💕

🌾 In abundance and gratitude 🙏🏻

🌞Lammas is nearly here – the grains are growing gold, the light beginning its long, slow turn towards rest.

✨A threshold moment for your first harvest: a moment to stand in the field of your own life and ask - what have I grown?

🍑What is ripe enough now to share? What is ready, at last, to be released?

🌅And most importantly … what is dawning?

🌽Our hands always remember. Corn goddesses take shape from the fields and hedgerows.. naturally dyed threads are gathered into small woven blessings, feathers and lavender bound in with gratitude.

🐉For me, creativity is ceremony - spirit made into form.
