Next week, Ian will be leading his final activity session before retiring. For the last four years, he has helped keep our residents active, engaged and smiling through his regular visits.

As a thank you, we presented Ian with a small gift to show our appreciation for everything he has done for our residents. 🎁

We will miss Ian and wish him a long, happy retirement. Thank you for everything! 😊👏

Continuing with the football theme, our residents enjoyed a delicious buffet this afternoon, kindly prepared by our talented cook Rosie. 🥪🧀🍅

To make the occasion even more special, there were some wonderful homemade cakes baked by our chef Amanda, which went down a treat with everyone! 🍰🧁😋

⚽🔴⚪ A Special Football Afternoon at Monson! ⚪🔴⚽

This afternoon, we welcomed back Ian from Lincoln City Foundation for another enjoyable session of seated ball and target games. 🏐🎯

Alongside Ian, we were delighted to welcome former Lincoln City Football Club players Terry Cooper, Gavin Gordon and John Kennedy. ⚽👏

The residents thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the players, hearing their memories of football and discussing all things Lincoln City FC. There were plenty of stories shared, questions asked and lots of reminiscing about football through the years. ❤️🤍

A huge thank you to Ian and the former players for taking the time to visit us and make the afternoon so special for our residents. 😊⚽

This afternoon, we got into the spirit of the World Cup ahead of England’s game tonight! 🏴⚽

Our residents had great fun posing for photos with our football-themed cut-out backdrop, showing their support and getting into the tournament atmosphere. 📸😁

There were plenty of smiles, laughter and patriotic spirit as everyone prepared to cheer on England from the comfort of Monson. Come on England! 🦁🦁🦁⚽❤️

😁🪥 National Smile Month Fun at Monson! 🪥😁

This morning we celebrated National Smile Month with a fun and laughter-filled activity! 🎶😊

Our residents played Pass the Toothbrush to music. When the music stopped, the person holding the giant toothbrush had to give their teeth a good ‘clean’ before passing it on to the next person! 🦷🪥😂

Afterwards, some of our residents showed off their biggest smiles by posing with some silly smile masks, creating lots of laughs and fantastic photo opportunities! 😄📸

A wonderful morning full of smiles, laughter and good fun for everyone involved. 💙

Another bedroom has had a lovely makeover and is looking fresh, bright, and welcoming! 🏡✨
With fresh paint 🎨, new bedding 🛏️, curtains, and furnishings, it has been transformed into a comfortable and homely space for our residents to enjoy.
A huge well done and thank you to Lindsey from Maintenance 🔧 and Lisa, our Head Housekeeper 🧹, for all their hard work and attention to detail. Your efforts help make Monson feel like home ❤️

Today, we had another lovely afternoon spent with the local nursery children from The Nest Nursery and Pre-school, Lincoln👧🧒❤️
Our residents enjoyed interacting with the children, playing with their toys 🧸, reading books 📚, and sharing lots of smiles, laughter, and conversation 😊💞
We also helped celebrate one of the children’s birthdays 🎂🎉. The residents enjoyed singing Happy Birthday 🎶🎈 and were delighted to present him with some birthday gifts 🎁. It was wonderful to see the different generations coming together and creating such special memories 🥰👵👴👧🧒
