The Nickel Support team have over twenty years experience of working with people with learning disabilties. Our aim is to offer real life employment opportunities, supporting people to move towards independence and strengthening their place within the community.

💛 Meet Cameron! 🖤

From getting hands-on with practical activities to cooking, baking and showing off his dance moves, Cameron certainly keeps busy at Nickel Support!

He enjoys learning through different sessions, whether that’s measuring, sanding, working with liquids or getting creative in the kitchen. And when the music comes on, you can expect some seriously groovy moves!

Cameron also has plenty of praise for the team, describing the staff as amazing, kind and supportive.
At Nickel Support, there’s always an opportunity to learn something new, build confidence and have fun along the way.

At Nickel, every session is an opportunity to learn something new, build confidence and develop valuable skills. 🖤💛

From upcycling and making homeware, to cooking and food enterprises, dance, exercise and so much more our sessions give trainees the chance to explore different interests, try new things and develop skills they can use in everyday life and beyond.

Every activity has a purpose, and every new skill is an achievement. 🖤💛

We’re proud of the progress our trainees make and the confidence they gain along the way. These opportunities are so important and valuable in helping our trainees learn, grow, build confidence and discover what they can achieve.

Tom loves our dance sessions because of the energy, excitement and the chance to dance alongside his friends.

With Roybn leading the sessions, Tom gets to enjoy one of his favourite activities and show off his moves to his favourite song, Candyman! 🕺
Our dance sessions are a great way for trainees to build confidence, express themselves, connect with others and have fun together.

💛 A little music, a lot of confidence… and plenty of great dance moves! 🖤

For Robert, dance is one of the highlights of the week. It’s a chance to spend time with friends, build confidence, learn from Roybn and, of course, show off his favourite moves!
Our dance sessions are all about having fun while developing confidence, communication, teamwork and self-expression skills that support trainees both in employability sessions and everyday life.

Sometimes all it takes is a great song and good company. 💃🕺

💛🖤 Every day at Nickel Support brings new opportunities to learn, grow and thrive.

From dance sessions and upcycling projects to creative activities, helping to tidy up after kitchen sessions and spending time with our dedicated staff, every activity is designed to help our trainees build valuable life and workplace skills.

Along the way, they’re developing confidence, independence, communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills, all within a supportive environment where they’re encouraged to reach their full potential.

Every achievement, no matter how big or small, is a step towards a brighter future and we’re proud to be part of every journey.
