🏃 Team Nickel is Taking on Parallel Windsor! 💙

On 5th July, six dedicated staff and supporters will be taking on the 5km and 10km routes at Parallel Windsor to raise funds for Nickel Support.

Every pound raised will help us improve Beans & Bloom, creating more opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and autistic people to gain skills, confidence and independence through meaningful work.

But the impact goes far beyond our coffee shop.

Your support will help create:
🍰 More baking opportunities for our teams at Cheam Hub
🍓 More sales opportunities for our kitchen team's jams, chutneys and preserves
🏠 More chances to showcase and sell trainee-made products from Interestingly Different

For Nick, it always comes back to the people, the incredible trainees we support, the dedicated team that makes it all possible, and a shared commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for others.

What makes Nickel Support unique is our ability to turn ideas into action, continually developing new opportunities and projects that make a real difference in the lives of people with learning disabilities.

🎉 We're kicking off Learning Disability Week 2026! 🎉

Today you'll find the Interestingly Different team at Sutton Central Library with their pop-up stall, celebrating the talents, creativity and potential of adults with learning disabilities.

We'll be showcasing and selling a fantastic range of products handmade by the adults with learning disabilities attending Nickel Support, including delicious jams and chutneys, colourful homeware, gifts and more.

This year's Learning Disability Week theme is all about being seen, heard and valued. By visiting our stall, you're helping us show the wider community what adults with learning disabilities can achieve when given the right opportunities to learn, create and thrive.

💜 This Carers Week, we want to take a moment to recognise and celebrate the incredible parents, families and carers who support our trainees every day.

Behind every achievement, every new skill learned and every milestone reached is a network of people providing encouragement, patience, advocacy and unwavering love. Your dedication makes a profound difference, and we are continually inspired by everything you do.

Although we haven't been able to mark Carers Week itself this year, we are looking forward to celebrating our wonderful carers later this month at The event will be an opportunity for us to say thank you, bring people together, and recognise the invaluable role that carers play in helping our trainees thrive and achieve their goals.

It's a small gesture of appreciation for the enormous contribution you make to the lives of your loved ones and our wider Nickel Support community.

Giving old furniture a new lease of life.

One of our most popular enterprises at Nickel Support sees trainees transform old and unwanted furniture into beautiful, handcrafted pieces for our shop and online store.

From design and preparation through to the final coat of wax, trainees are involved in every stage of the upcycling process, developing valuable vocational skills, confidence and real workplace experience.

Every session has a real purpose, contributing to both personal development and the success of our enterprise.
