Never do an HbA1c test without a reticulocyte count. On its own, you're working blind.
The body recycles red blood cells when they're no longer viable. But if you only have the HbA1c, you don't know when the body decided to recycle them. A low HbA1c could mean healthy cells lasting a year. Or it could mean cells so damaged they're being destroyed and replaced constantly.
You can't tell without the reticulocyte count.
We go through blood work like this on live calls every week. Come and learn what your results actually mean.
