This is due to the laser not being able to define the difference between the colour in tanned skin or makeup compared to the colour in the targeted treatment area such as hair, thread veins and tattoos.
If we treat an area that is tanned, the top layer of tanned skin will absorb the light from the laser instead of the targeted area, which is not safe.
Treating tanned skin risks burning your skin or causing pigmentation and a reduction of treatment effectiveness.
