Love your liver — because it is absolutely working its socks off for you. ❤️

Your liver is your body's main detoxification organ and plays a central role in clearing excess oestrogen. But it's not just hormones it's dealing with.

Every day it's filtering out compounds from skincare, haircare, cosmetics, cleaning products, alcohol, medications and environmental pollution too.

When that load gets too heavy, oestrogen clearance can suffer — and levels can creep up higher than they should be.

The good news? There are some truly wonderful foods that support your liver's detoxification pathways. Garlic, onions, leeks, chives, beetroot, citrus fruits — and of course our hormone heroes the cruciferous vegetables.

Add them in where you can. Consistently and without pressure.

Your liver will thank you. 🥦🍋🧄

This week I'm sharing a series of practical, evidence-informed tips to help you lower excess oestrogen naturally. Follow along so you don't miss the rest. 👇

Hormone heroes — that's what I'm calling them. 🥦

Cruciferous vegetables are one of the most powerful foods you can eat to support healthy oestrogen balance. They contain natural compounds that help your liver process and eliminate excess hormones, plus fibre to sweep them out through your digestive system.

The simple goal?

One portion a day. Broccoli with dinner, kale in a smoothie, a handful of rocket in a salad — it really doesn't have to be complicated.

This week I'm sharing a series of simple, evidence-informed tips to help you lower excess oestrogen naturally. Save this post and follow along so you don't miss the rest. 👇

If you've been following along this week, you'll know that supporting your body to clear excess oestrogen is one of the most powerful things you can do for your hormonal health.

And one of the simplest places to start? Fibre 🌾

Swapping refined grains for wholegrain and wholemeal versions — think wholemeal bread, brown rice, oats, and wholegrain pasta

🫘And don't overlook beans and pulses like lentils, chickpeas and kidney beans, or seeds such as chia seeds and flaxseed — all brilliant sources of fibre that are easy to work into everyday eating.

Think of fibre like a brush sweeping through your digestive system, clearing out waste products, including excess hormones like oestrogen, and carrying them out of the body.

Without enough fibre and regular bowel movements, that oestrogen doesn't make it out. Instead, it can get reabsorbed back into the bloodstream, keeping levels higher than they should be ♻️

Small swaps. Real impact.

📝 More tips coming this week — follow along so you don't miss them.

Heavy periods. Sore breasts. Bloating before your cycle. Migraines. Mood swings that floor you.

Sound familiar?

These are symptoms that so many women dismiss as "just hormones" — but there's often a very specific reason behind them. Excess oestrogen.

Whether you've been diagnosed with endometriosis, fibroids, PMS or PMDD, or you're in perimenopause and your body feels like it belongs to someone else right now — oestrogen dominance could be a key piece of the puzzle.

Most women have never been told this💔

And that gap in knowledge means they carry on suffering, without realising there are real steps they can take to feel better.

📝 This week I'm sharing practical, evidence-informed tips to help you lower excess oestrogen naturally. Simple things. Things you can start doing now.

Sound familiar?

These aren't random symptoms — they could all be pointing to one thing: an underactive thyroid.

Thyroid issues are incredibly common in women, and they're frequently missed — often because the right tests aren't being run.

Here's what to ask for if you go to your GP: TSH, Free T3, Free T4 and thyroid antibodies. All four matter.

Or you can book a private thyroid panel through me, with a free 45-minute results interpretation call included, so you know exactly what your results mean for your health.

You deserve answers — not just a pat on the back and a "your bloods are normal."

My son has this every single morning, and yes — it tastes way better than it looks! 😄

Most shop-bought smoothies (and plenty of homemade ones) are essentially sugar hits in disguise. Fruit is brilliant, but once you blend it into liquid form, it hits your bloodstream much faster than eating the whole thing. That blood sugar spike is real — and so is the crash that follows.

The fix? Treat your smoothie like any other meal or snack: protein, healthy fat and fibre every time.

This one ticks all three boxes:
🫐 Frozen summer berries + blueberries
🥑 Frozen avocado for healthy fat
🌿 Spinach (fresh or frozen — honestly undetectable)
💪 Protein powder (check the label for hidden nasties)
🌾 Oat bran for fibre
🥥 Coconut milk — I use Plenish, no gums or additives
🐟 Plus a teaspoon of vegan omega-3 oil (great if fish isn't on the menu)

Your blood sugar will thank you.

💬 Drop your go-to smoothie ingredient below — I'd love to know what you're adding!

"My doctor told me to eat less carbs. It worked — momentarily."

This client had been doing everything right on paper. Less carbs, intermittent fasting, Metformin, all the Google research. But nothing was sticking, and her blood sugar kept creeping back up.

Then she asked for a different kind of help.

No dramatic overhaul. No cutting out entire food groups. Just a deeper look at why her body was struggling, and practical, personalised changes she could actually live with.
More fibre. Smarter carb choices. Better sleep. The bigger picture — working together, not in isolation.

Her glucose levels came down. She's sleeping better. And most importantly? It's sustainable.

This is exactly what nutritional therapy is for, the stuff that falls through the gaps of a 10-minute GP appointment.

If you've been going round in circles with your blood sugar, energy, or hormones and feel like you've tried everything... let's talk.
