Daniela shares her journey with Slimming Medics

“I wanted to share my journey because I know I’m not the only one who has felt this way.

This is me in August last year. I used to hide my body in photos, often trying to cover myself without really realising how much it reflected how I felt inside.

By the beginning of December, I knew I needed to make a change for my health and decided to take that step with Slimming Medics.

Since then, I’ve been supported by Siobhan, the doctor and the team in learning how to lose weight in a healthy, structured and sustainable way — nothing extreme, just real guidance and consistency.

When I started, I weighed 86.9kg. I’m now 75.2kg, but the number on the scales isn’t even the most important part for me. The biggest change has been my waist — I’ve lost 7 inches — which I know has made a real difference to my overall health. More importantly, I feel like I’ve broken a cycle I was stuck in for a long time when it came to food.

I feel more in control, more balanced, and for the first time things feel achievable rather than overwhelming. I’m now ready to increase my physical activity as part of maintaining this progress.
