The holy trinity. The father son and the holy ghost or whatever. Someone book the Moomin Monster can please so I can complete this triptych. We’ve successfully done it with Miffy already. Haven’t designed a Snoopy lighter yet I don’t think, maybe a box of Snoopy matches could work. What flavour do you think these are? Seems like something your cousin might bring back from a holiday in Eastern Europe and all the info on the back is in a language you can’t read so you don’t really know if they’re safe or not but the box is such a vibe that you might risk it anyway.

Fr I’ll do you a good price on the Moomin Monster can because I feel like I need to tattoo it for the sake of my legacy. I haven’t drank a can of Monster in such a long time, I gave up energy drinks almost two years ago and even when I was regularly drinking them I wouldn’t buy Monster cause it’s kinda expensive. I’d be buying Raptor Energy from the Premier up the road or three cans of Emerge Energy from Poundland for one pound.

Okay yeah I said I was gonna post these on Saturday I’ve been busy I’ve had stuff going on. It’s been a couple years since I rewatched Bojack, I’ve been in too good a mood. Make sure to check in on your friend who just decided to start rewatching Bojack Horseman again. When the final season was coming out I was in the middle of moving house and the WiFi had been cut a couple days early for some reason so I went down to the Costa where I worked and used the WiFi there to download the last couple episodes onto my iPad. It must have ran out of space or something tho cause it didn’t download the very last episode so for the longest time I thought The View From Halfway Down was the ending to the show. If you know you know, having that be the final episode leaves a very different tone for the series.

The character I relate to the most is Diane I think. In a lot of ways she’s a bit like Hannah from Girls, filled with an undeserved sense of self importance because they think of themselves as an artist. That’s so me fr. Does Bojack deserve a happy ending? I guess that’s the central question of the show, you can only really believe that Bojack deserves redemption if every single person deserves that. Okay I’m doing it I’m gonna start rewatching Bojack Horseman sorry.

MIDWEEK MEGAMIX

Working through the backlog, lots of cool tattoos and I’m trying to post every other day so I don’t want these to fall through the cracks and just live on my phone (and on your skin which is the most important). I think this is all the ones from Brighton posted now unless I forgot some. I love tattoos. I love tattooing. I love you.

1. Big ah centipede. I think maybe when the world was being created we got to the end and realised that there were a bunch of legs left over that hadn’t been assigned to an animal yet so we just invented one to use up the rest.

2. Them Soot Sprites are stealing No Face Mask. This is the only Ghibli movie I like I have been on record about this many times.

3. I actually just watched The Devil and Daniel Johnston very recently. Good watch, strange guy. My favourite movie has a cover of one of his songs by Karen O and it rules.

4. Justice for Sid, he did nothing wrong he thought he was just being creative. (From the Brighton guest spot)

9. Half fresh half healed Gorillaz tattoo with a stubborn stencil that wouldn’t come off for the photo. Objectively Demon Days is probably the best Gorillaz album. My favourite is Plastic Beach I think. The Mountain was good, probably one of my more listened to albums this year.

Where’s the album Frank? Where’s the album Frank? Where’s the album Frank? It’s not coming okay, we’re not getting another Frank Ocean album ever I think. Blonde was ten years ago. It’s been years and years since we even got a single released, it’s over boys were not getting that follow up album. I don’t think so anyway but who knows. If we do it’s gonna be like an André 3000 type situation where the album isn’t what anyone wants it to be or expects. It’s gonna be an album of ambient electronics or something. What’s the best Frank Ocean album Seb? Of course it’s Blonde, that’s not even a question. Blonde is a generational album, probably one of only two albums of the 2010s that’s an easy ten out of ten. Channel Orange is probably the album that has aged the worst from his discography, it sounds like an album from 2012 but it still has more great songs than almost any other album from that year. My favourite Frank song is probably a tie between Chanel and Self Control.

This was the first tattoo I did in Brighton a couple weeks ago, I’ve been behind on posting them but this was so fun. the best studio in Brighton I’m gonna keep saying it. The Nostalgia Ultra car was a flash design from when I asked for ideas from you and the person who suggested the idea was the person who got the tattoo. Cool!

SOME FLASH THAT I DREW BECAUSE I LOVE YOU

I’ve really been cooking this past week or so. I’ve been in my ignorant bag and the ideas have been flowing. Some of the best design’s ives drawn in a minute I think. Inspiration can come from anywhere. Tony Pork was just something I offhandedly said in conversation and then immediately wrote down. The Snoopy Marlboro pack almost felt like a contractual obligation with myself since I’ve already done them for Garfield, Miffy and Moomin. The Chinese takeaway order was in my notesapp because I always write things down in my notes and then never get rid of the note when I’m done with it. Some of these have already been claimed btw but if you ask nice I can do an alternate version for you or whatever.

Fruits and vegetables from that flash sheet i did, I’ve already done three out of five how delightful! I’ve had “I’m gonna be round my vegetables I’m gonna chow down my vegetables” from that Beach Boys song I used when I posted it stuck in my head all week. Yknow what, technically all of these ones that I’ve tattooed so far are actually fruits even though none of them are a sweet tasty treat you can put in your lunchbox (which i think is really the true definition of a fruit), how messed up is that!

What’s my favourite fruit and vegetable you ask? Fruit wise I do love a mango, like flavour wise it’s not even close you can’t beat a good mango. My favourite vegetable is the mighty pak choi (and it’s pretty much identical cousin the bok choi, idk what the deal is there they taste the same basically and they’re only very slightly different in shape). Pak choi on top of a bowl of ramen? Yes please. Chopped up and thrown into some fried rice? Excellent. Steamed with some soy sauce and a literally any meat on some plain rice? Yes.

£300 day sessions in June! 10:00 till 17:00, as many tattoos as you want. Available on Fridays Saturdays and Sundays.

You heard that right dude i’m bringing back the £300 day sessions. Basically I have a bunch of expenses coming up in June that I need to pay for, nothing super dramatic just life stuff and life is expensive at the moment. My diary for June is looking fairly empty if i’m being honest so this is my last big push before we get to the busier summer months.

Imagine turning up to that festival in August and suddenly you have like way more tattoos than last time your friends saw you. Sick! You’re at the beach and take off your shirt to reveal that you’re now a heavily tattooed baddie. “Wow” says your crush “I think I am in love with you, you are such a cool heavily tattooed baddie”. You come home from university for the summer and your parents get a glimpse of your arms covered in new silly tattoos. They shake their heads in disappointment and wonder whether they made a mistake letting you pursue a fine art degree instead of pressuring you into becoming a doctor. You could be living the summer of your dreams for just £300. Think about it.

So true fr. Have you got a problem? If you get a new tattoo it won’t necessarily solve your problem but you’ll have a new tattoo at least which is always good regardless of your problem. That’s girl maths by me, a girl mathematician (a man with a B in GCSE maths). Snoopy is so real for that. I got 99 problems but also a call new tattoo so really life isn’t all that bad.

I love tattooing silly self referential comics, especially when there’s a bit of sincerity to them also. I love comics. Making comics has been a part of my creative expression for as long I understood the concept of a series of images telling a linear story. When I was really young I used to do my own bootleg Captain Underpants comics. When I was a little bit older I had a super hero and sidekick duo called Super Carrot and Mega Nugget who would fight various food based villains (like the Burger Bandit and also Evil Banana) and I even created several long form Super Carrot and Mega Nugget comics as school assignments. One was about them visiting Mars and it had loads of Mars facts and one was about them going back in time to the sixties to meet my grandparents and find out what life was like in the sixties. In 2015 I made a comic called Depressing Simpsons Comics which ended up in the hands of a collector who then mentioned it to a reporter from Vice magazine and I ended up getting interviewed for an article about Simpsons zines. That same comic was later referenced in a YouTube video called “The bizarre modern reality of The Simpsons” that has like almost 3 million views. I recently started making comics again and i’m working on a collection of them to hopefully sell later this year. Made this tattoo in Brighton at Studio Baby last week.

SOME FRUITS AND VEGETABLES VOL.1

Recently if I’m doodling on a bit of paper with Teddy my favourite thing to draw is a fruit with a little face on it. A lemon or an apple or a banana or whatever and I sometimes colour it in with whatever crayons or felt tip pens he has taken out. I locked in last night and got these all drawn and formatted as a flash sheet in the space of like four hours, can’t remember the last time I did a whole flash sheet in one sitting. I only stopped because I wanted to go to sleep so i’m definitely gonna draw more fruits and vegetables. Lmk what fruits and vegetables you want to see next. Tomatoes are a vegetable, there I said it. It’s a semantic argument but like, all words are made up and tomatoes don’t belong in a family with fruits. They are friends with the vegetables and they are not culturally fruits. You wouldn’t just eat a tomato as a dessert. I don’t care if you say I’m wrong I think someone had to say it, like when people at school would tell you that your favourite colour couldn’t be black because “black is a shade and not a colour”, like get a grip dude there are bigger issues to deal with in the world. “Um, is tomato ketchup actually technically a smoothie? Hahaha” no dude get it together you know it’s not.

MIDWEEK MEGAMIX

I’m away on holiday this week back home in Brighton visiting my family and seeing some friends and also doing a guest spot at the end of the week. Here is a bunch of tattoos I did over the past few weeks and I probably thought “oh I won’t include that in a MEGAMIX I’ll give it its own post” and then I don’t get around to it so like there’s loads of bangers in this MEGAMIX.

1. In Mr Tickle (which is the first Mr Men story), Mr Tickle tickles a police man just to be a nuisance and that’s where this idea came from.

2. I know nothing about the game Grabbed by Ghoulies, if you do please let me know literally anything about it.

3. She just like me fr.

4. I wish I liked disco. I’ve tried it just doesn’t click for me. I sampled a bit of MacArthur Park Suite whilst tattooing and like, it was good and fun and it had a lot going on but i’d be lying if I said I was really into it.

5. It’s insane to me that the amount of time between Riot and After Laughter is almost the same amount of time as AL to now. Like that album felt like a career revival for Paramore but by now it’s like the middle point of their career. Idk I haven’t actually listened to a Paramore album since Brand New Eyes came out.

6. Moominmama is hitting a jig. She’s breaking it down. She is hitting the dance floor hard. Yes queen.

7. I don’t remember what this Pokémon is called.

8. I finally got to tattoo the Miffy cherries. Feels like I drew them so long ago, last summer even maybe. They bounced around a bit and now finally found a home.

9. I grew up on Yugioh and Pokémon and collected the cards for both but the actual game of Yugioh cards made sense to me in a way that Pokémon card didn’t. Pokémon cards felt convoluted and really hard to learn and it didn’t have any media really attached to playing the game whereas the Yugioh anime was basically an instruction manual for it. Like it kinda just felt like I was recreating what I’d seen in the show.
