A big thank you to NatWest for visiting our Day Service, CCN, and delivering an informative finance session for the people we support 💙

During the session, everyone learned about scam awareness, including how to spot potential scams, stay safe, and what to do if something doesn’t feel right. Building confidence around money and personal safety is an important life skill, and it was great to see everyone getting involved and asking questions.

👥 Support Worker
Up to 35.5 hours per week (including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins)
£13.01 – £13.52 per hour
Sleep-ins paid at the rate of £77.50 per session

It is a genuine occupational requirement for some of the people we employ to be female to support people with their personal care. We therefore welcome applications from females for the position of Support Worker as permitted under Schedule 9 Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

This week, we celebrated Africa Day with the people we support and what an amazing day it was ✨

Our staff organised a wonderful celebration filled with delicious food, games, music, a fashion show, and fantastic performances. It was a joyful day of culture, community, and togetherness enjoyed by everyone 💙

They enjoyed watching the trains, feeding the ducks, and going for lovely walks together. To top it all off, they smashed an amazing 10,000 steps!

Homemade pasta making at CCN 🍝

Our cooking group got stuck in making homemade pasta and garlic bread, with everyone helping to prepare the meal and tidy up the kitchen afterwards.

Activities like this help build independence, teamwork, and important life skills, and the finished meal looked delicious too 🌟

This week is a reminder of how important it is to look after our mental health and support one another. Taking time to talk, listen, rest, and do things that bring us joy can make a big difference.
