Over 40 our bodies get weaker. Making your body strong, means making it resilient .

Gym and exercise is pushed as something where the aesthetics are most important .

Of course you look good if you train more - but before that, the only thing that is important is making your body strong & robust.

We are all getting older and our bodies will get weaker unless we train them not to.

Niggles and injuries over 40 can be a consistent thing in those with weak bodies. But you can fix it by getting strong!

Lifting weights is really a non negotiable!

What program can we build a program that makes you stronger, fitter & healthier than ever before - while you are having all your ‘life stuff’ going on.

The key is to get you consistent - if you are consistent, there is always a chance of progression.

And to be consistent it needs to be the right program for you.

The awareness of how important strength training is, as we age is much more than it was 10 years ago. Which is great!

After 40 there needs to be a rethink of how you approach exercise .

To stop things hurting
To avoid injuries
To find something that has longevity

Turning up and getting beat up in a spin class or circuit class …or any other class is not how you should start exercise.

If you have had a long break or never done training properly - it needs to start with a proper plan.

We always assess first - prescribe the right exercises , and make sure we build something that lasts.

Fads are easy to do but it never sticks.

Learn to exercise properly and you will build a lifelong habit.
