Our Dietetics Service supports service users across the community with practical, personalised nutritional care.

Dietitians work closely with the Community Neuro Rehabilitation Service, supporting people with neurological conditions to manage nutrition linked to recovery, energy levels and swallowing difficulties.

They also support patients on Cedars Ward at Teddington Memorial Hospital, helping to meet nutritional needs during inpatient stays and, where needed, continuing care after discharge through home visits or outpatient clinics.

Alongside this, dietitians are part of the Learning Disability Service, providing tailored advice to support healthy eating, meal routines and individual nutritional needs, often working with families and carers. Across all settings, dietitians help people use nutrition to support recovery, wellbeing and independence in everyday life.

Our occupational therapists support people throughout the community to stay independent, safe and well in everyday life.

Within the Learning Disability Service, OTs support people to build daily living skills. This includes routines, self care and taking part in meaningful activities at home and in the community.

OTs working in the Community Adult Rehabilitation and Therapies Service help people recover after illness or injury. Their focus is on regaining confidence, managing daily tasks and staying independent at home, with equipment or adaptations where needed. In the Falls Service, occupational therapists help people stay safe while moving around. They assess balance, strength and home environments, offering advice and equipment to reduce the risk of falls.

The Community Neuro Rehabilitation Service supports people living with neurological conditions. OTs in the team help people manage daily activities, cognitive challenges and fatigue, promoting long term independence.
