Calm Within Meditation Kara | Meditation & Nervous System Coach For the person who can't switch off, no matter how hard they try. Online | In-person | Spotify.

There’s something about the sound of a crystal singing bowl that encourages us to pause.

To stop rushing.

To stop doing.

To simply listen.

Many people find the soothing tones and vibrations deeply calming, helping them slow down, settle into the present moment and let go of some of the tension they've been carrying.

At my Deep Relaxation & Sound Immersion evenings, sound is gently woven into the experience alongside:

🤍 Breathwork
🤍 Nervous system regulation techniques
🤍 Guided meditation
🤍 Deep relaxation

The goal isn't to escape life for an hour.

It's to give your body an opportunity to soften, rest and remember what calm feels like.

This month's theme is:

✨ Open & Soften ✨

An invitation to release tension, let go of what you've been carrying and create space for a little more ease.

📍 Measham Village Hall
📅 Sunday 14th June
🕖 7pm–8pm

Many people come on their own and no experience is needed.

I'd love to welcome you 🤍

"I slept so well afterwards.”

So many people tell me they’re exhausted… but still can’t properly switch off.

Tired body. Busy mind. Constant thoughts. Feeling “on” all day long.

That’s often a nervous system that’s stayed in alert mode for too long.

My online and in-person sessions are designed to gently help the body slow down through:
🤍 nervous system regulation
🤍 calming breathwork
🤍 grounding techniques
🤍 guided meditation
🤍 deep rest and soothing sound

This may be for you if:
-you struggle to unwind at night
-your brain keeps going when you want to sleep
-stress sits in your body
-you feel emotionally overloaded
-you want calm without pressure or perfection

Thinking about coming on Sunday... but not quite sure?

You're not alone.

One of the biggest things I hear is:

🤍 "I've never done meditation before."

🤍 "What if I can't switch off?"

🤍 "What if I come on my own?"

🤍 "What if I can't relax?"

The truth is, many people who attend my classes felt exactly the same before they came.

You don't need experience.

You don't need to know how to meditate.

You don't need to clear your mind.

And you definitely don't need to be "good" at relaxing.

Just come as you are.

This month's theme is Open & Soften — a gentle evening of breathwork, nervous system regulation, meditation and calming sound designed to help you release tension, slow down and reconnect with a sense of ease.

If you've been carrying a lot lately, this is your invitation to put it down for an hour.

I didn't become a meditation teacher because I was stressed.

I became one because I was searching for answers.

For a long time, I was trying to escape pain.

That search took me in many directions. Some things helped. Some didn't. But each step taught me something about the connection between the mind, body and nervous system.

What started as a personal journey gradually became a passion for understanding why we feel the way we do.

That's why I went on to study psychology, neuroscience, meditation, breathwork, sound healing and nervous system regulation.

Not because I wanted lots of certificates.

Because I wanted to understand.

What I discovered is that we're often much harder on ourselves than we need to be.

We're quick to think we're failing, broken or doing something wrong.

But so often, our nervous system is simply trying to protect us in the best way it knows how.

Calm Within Meditation was built from that journey.

Not from having all the answers.

But from years of searching, learning and discovering tools that genuinely helped.

If you've ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, exhausted, disconnected or like nothing has worked so far, I want you to know you're not alone.

Sometimes understanding ourselves is the first step towards changing how we feel.

How many times have you told yourself:

"I'll rest when I've finished everything."

The problem is that the list never really ends.

Many of us have been taught that rest is something we earn after being productive enough, busy enough, or exhausted enough.

But your nervous system doesn't work that way.

Rest isn't a reward.
It's a biological need.

Sometimes the most important thing you can do isn't push harder.
It's pause.
Breathe.
And allow your body a moment of safety.

If this resonates, save it for the days you feel guilty for slowing down.

Real calm isn't something you buy. It's something your body learns.

You can fill your home with candles.
Wear the crystals.
Drink the herbal tea.
Listen to relaxing music.

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with any of those things.

But if your nervous system never learns how to downshift out of stress, tension and survival mode, you may find yourself searching for the next thing that will finally make you feel calm.

That's why my work focuses on nervous system regulation, not just relaxation.

Through breathwork, body-based techniques, guided meditation and calming sound, I help people learn skills they can take back into everyday life.

If you've been feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, wired-but-tired or simply need space to breathe, I'd love to welcome you.

You don’t always realise how much tension your body has been holding until it starts to let go.

During the body scan, we gently noticed areas of tightness and used breath, awareness and relaxation techniques to create a little more space in the body — and one person shared that their leg pain had eased by the end of the session.

Stress, overwhelm and constant tension can show up physically too.

Sometimes the body just needs a chance to feel safe enough to unclench. 🤍

These sessions are for the person who feels wired, tense, exhausted or like they can never fully switch off.

Your body might not know how to stop surviving yet.

If you:

overthink everything

feel anxious for “no reason”

stay busy constantly

shut down when overwhelmed

people please to keep the peace

feel exhausted but still can’t relax

…your nervous system may still be stuck in survival mode.

Fight. Flight. Freeze. Fawn.

These stress responses are not personality flaws.
They are protective patterns the body learned over time.

This new guided meditation helps you:
🤍 understand your stress response
🤍 feel less broken or “wrong”
🤍 calm mental overload
🤍 slow racing thoughts
🤍 reconnect with your body
🤍 practise nervous system safety and rest

This is for the person who is tired of feeling constantly “on.”

Not another meditation telling you to “just relax.”

A gentler, nervous-system-led approach that helps the body actually begin to feel safer.
