Well… my faith in humanity has been completely restored today. ❤️
Earlier I mentioned on a local group that I was desperately trying to find a portable air conditioning unit to help keep the children cool during this heatwave. They are currently sold out nationwide.
A lovely lady called Carol saw my post and passed it on to someone who isn’t even on social media. A little while later I received a phone call that started with:
“This might be a weird message, but I hear you’re looking for an air conditioning unit… I think I can help.”
After a little adventure through the Somerset countryside, I met a wonderful gentleman who has now been affectionately named “The Cat Man.” 🐈
He rescues blind cats.
He wouldn’t take a penny for the air conditioner. Instead, he simply asked that, if I wanted to, I could make a donation towards caring for his cats.
In a world that can sometimes feel a little heavy, today was a reminder that kindness still exists. Complete strangers helping complete strangers, simply because they can.
So thank you, Carol, for passing my post on.
And thank you to The Cat Man, for your generosity, your compassion, and for reminding me that there are still some truly remarkable people out there.
I’ve shared his JustGiving page below. If this story made you smile and you’re in a position to spare even a couple of pounds, I’m sure the blind cats in his care would be incredibly grateful. ❤️🐾
Let’s see if a small act of kindness can become something much bigger.
I am so grateful and will donate and share across the Glass Skin platforms too.
Beautiful skin is wonderful, but kindness will always be the most attractive thing a person can wear.
Save those moggies 🐱
