We now offer... Tap dancing, Love to Move sessions, a singing cafe and Zumba, with more dance and movement sessions to follow.

We are currently in the process of finding places to run our sessions and can't wait to advertise these spots as soon as we have all the information.

Try your free session and join the fun 11:45-12:45. Love to move is a chair based exercise program that is a workout for your brain as well as your body. If you struggle to pat your head and rub your stomach, then come along and be prepared to test your coordination with these fun activities 😀
The Chattery is open 10-1 as usual ☕️🫖🍰🍜 📍 Admaston House.

COULD YOUR COMMUNITY USE A LITTLE MORE MUSIC AND JOY? 🎶✨

I’m looking to expand Ron’s Singing Café and want to know where we should head next!

This project is very close to my heart and is named after my wonderful father, Ron, who lived with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD). Music and singing was our favourite way to stay connected. I want to share that same warmth and laughter with all adults including those with dementia or learning difficulties and their carers. It’s all about inclusion, connection, joy and community!

What makes it special?

🎶 Giant Screen Karaoke: We all sing together! No need to worry about the words, they’ll be right there on a big screen for everyone to see. 📺

🎵 You Choose the Hits: From old favorites to upbeat classics, the group picks the songs they love. If you love it, we will sing it 🎤

🧠 Brain-Boosting Fun: Singing is amazing for the soul. it lifts the mood, reduces anxiety, sparks memories and keeps our brains active.

☕ Tea & A Chat: We always take a break halfway through for snacks, drinks, and some much needed social time to catch up with friends.

Dementia Action Week is just around the corner. Taking place between 18 - 24 May, it is an awareness campaign led by Alzheimer’s Society, bringing people and organisations together to act on dementia.

There are plenty of ways to get involved, whether sharing your story, putting up posters, holding an event, or proudly wearing your Dementia Friends badge.

Later this week we'll be sharing a bingo card fill of activities you can do as a Dementia Friend so show your support during Dementia Action Week and the Forget Me Not Appeal in June. Watch this space!
