Hay fever season seems to be starting again.

Over the years I’ve heard many people say their usual treatments seem to become less effective over time, or that they find themselves needing stronger ones.

It made me curious about some of the more natural ideas people talk about, such as:

🍯 local honey
🐝 barrier balms around the nose and eyes
🕯 beeswax candles instead of artificial fragrances

I grew up on a farm in the 1980s.

Back then, nobody questioned the chemicals we worked with and children were exposed to every day — from crop spraying to sheep dipping. It was simply part of farm life.

Years later I began to understand the impact those exposures had on my health and the environment around us. Even today I can still react badly to many chemicals, pesticides and some medications.

When our Welsh Terrier **Ola** developed a severe skin condition, I knew I had to find a natural solution.

That journey led me to bees, beeswax, and the creation of **The Bee Fairy natural beeswax balms** for people and animals.

Sometimes the answers really do come from nature.
