Continuing our 'Meet the Team Monday' I would like to introduce Becky, who joins the Black Country MNVP as the Perinatal Mental Health Lead, covering the whole Black Country Footprint ๐งก๐๐๐
"Hi I'm Becky, the new Black Country Lead for Perinatal Mental Health.
My Passion for this role is both professional and personal. I gave birth to my first baby at 33 weeks and experienced both neonatal services and mental health support, first hand. I am a mum of three, with my younger two taking a little more time before making their arrival. These experiences have shaped my understanding of how important compassionate, responsive care is during the perinatal period.
I am also a qualified Midwife with over 10 years' experience of a wide range of maternity care. I now work outside of the NHS, utilising a background in Psychology and specialist training in perinatal mental health. I currently support women who have experienced birth trauma and am deeply committed to improving how mental health care is understood, accessed and delivered across maternity services and local communities.
I'm profoundly passionate about this role, driven by both my professional experience and my own journey. I look forward to meeting with you and working together to help you feel heard, included and supported in perinatal mental health services."
Thank you to Becky for that wonderful Introduction and stay tuned to meet more members of the Team....
