A fantastic evening celebrating inclusive sport! ❤️

Last night, Wheels for All was proud to attend the Variety Disability Sports Awards, where we were honoured to be nominated for the Accessible Sport for All Award.

Although we didn’t take home the award this time, being nominated is fantastic recognition of the work we do to make cycling accessible to everyone, regardless of disability or health condition. 🚲

It was also wonderful to hear from so many inspiring people throughout the evening, including David Clarke OBE, CEO of the British Paralympic Association, whose words highlighted the power of sport to change lives and create opportunities for all.

Congratulations to all the nominees and, of course, to all the deserving winners! 👏 It was a privilege to be among so many incredible people and organisations working to make sport more inclusive and accessible.

We’ll continue working towards a world where everyone has the opportunity to experience the joy, freedom and benefits of cycling ✨

What a fantastic day at our new Widnes Hub on Saturday! 🚲

We were delighted to celebrate the successful opening of our newest Wheels for All Hub at Wade Deacon High School! ❤️

It was brilliant to welcome people to the Hub and take another step towards making inclusive cycling accessible to more people in the local community.

Our Widnes Hub will provide opportunities for disabled people and people living with long-term health conditions to experience the joy of cycling in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening, and to all those who have helped make this new Hub possible. We can’t wait to see it grow and welcome even more people onto two, three and four wheels! 🙌

We’re delighted to be bringing Wheels for All to Bournemouth for an Inclusive Cycling Try Out Day on Tuesday 27 October!

Join us at Kings Park Athletics Centre between 11am and 2pm to try a range of adapted cycles, meet our friendly team and discover how inclusive cycling can help people of all ages and abilities enjoy the freedom, fun and benefits of being active. 💚

Whether you’re a disabled person, a family member, a carer or simply interested in finding out more, everyone is welcome! You can also learn about exciting volunteering opportunities and how you can get involved with Wheels for All.

We have had a fantastic 2 days in Hexham where we have been delivering two inclusive cycling taster days! 🚲

As you can see from these photos there were big smiles all around and lots of eager participants, ready to take to the track on all kinds of adapted cycles.

A huge thank you to everybody at Northumberland County Council and Places Leisure for all of their help and support in partnering with us in these taster sessions, we are so excited to be bringing more inclusive cycling to the North East ✨🙌

We're really excited to be holding not one... not two... but THREE try out days in Wolverhampton in the next few weeks! 🚲🎉

We’ve been nominated for the Accessible Sport for All Award! 🚲💙

We’re delighted to share that Wheels for All has been nominated for the Accessible Sport for All Award at this year’s Variety Disability Sports Awards – the UK’s leading biannual celebration of grassroots disability sport.

The nomination recognises the work we do to make cycling accessible and inclusive, helping people living with disabilities and long-term health conditions enjoy the freedom, fun and benefits of cycling. 🚴‍♀️

Being recognised alongside so many fantastic organisations and individuals doing incredible work across disability sport is a real honour, and we’re incredibly proud of everyone across the Wheels for All network who makes this possible – our participants, volunteers, staff and partners. 💙

The awards also raise vital funds for Variety the Children's Charity of Great Britain, with every penny raised supporting their life-changing work with disabled and disadvantaged young people across the UK.

Wheels for All Widnes is reopening! 👏 🥳

We’re excited to announce that Wheels for All Widnes is officially reopening at Wade Deacon High School – and we’d love the local community to come along and celebrate with us at our official reopening event! 🎉

📅 Saturday 10 October
⏰ 10am–1pm
📍 Wade Deacon High School, Birchfield Road, Widnes, WA8 7TD

Our reopening event will be a chance to meet the Wheels for All team and volunteers, find out more about our inclusive cycling sessions and discover the range of adapted cycles available 🚲

Most importantly, it’s an opportunity for people in Widnes and the surrounding area to come along, see what we’re about and find out how they can get involved.

Following the launch, Wheels for All Widnes will run every Saturday, 10am–1pm, giving disabled people and people with additional needs the opportunity to enjoy cycling in a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.

South Yorkshire Inclusive Cycling Conference – the work starts now! 💙

A few weeks ago, we brought together partners, organisations and passionate advocates from across the region for our South Yorkshire Inclusive Cycling Conference at Oakwell Stadium in Barnsley 🚲

It was fantastic to see so many people come together to share ideas, explore opportunities and discuss how we can make inclusive cycling more accessible to people across South Yorkshire – with a special contribution from Ed Clancy OBE, South Yorkshire’s Active Travel Commissioner.

The conference was an important opportunity to start building the partnerships and connections that will help us turn our ambitions into reality. We know there is huge potential to grow inclusive cycling across the region, and we’re incredibly excited about what the future can look like.

Together with our partners, communities and organisations across South Yorkshire, we’re looking forward to developing more opportunities for disabled people and people with long-term health conditions to experience the freedom, fun and benefits of cycling.
