Self Love, Weightloss whilst healing your relationship with food, general wellbeing and happiness

This story spans decades of my life, so there is no way I can tell it properly in one or two videos.

There are going to be quite a few episodes, not because I’m trying to drag it out or keep you hanging, but because I actually want to tell it properly.

There are so many different parts to it. Childhood. Weight. Dieting. Shame. Food. Life. What I believed then, and what I understand now.

And some of it is emotional for me to go back through.

So I’m breaking it down slowly, in the order it actually happened.

Not to create suspense.

So if you can give me a few minutes of your time for each episode, stay with me.

Because yes, this is my story.

But I really think parts of it are going to help other people make sense of theirs too.

In February 2021, I started to share my story as I understood it then.

I went on to lose 120 pound but five and a half years later, I know the story was about far more than weight.

So I’m going back to the beginning.

The Story Behind Finding Food Freedom: Episode 1.

1 hour of food prep = 14 high-protein, high-fibre meal bases 🙌

Nothing fancy, just making it easier to have decent food ready for the week.

🌯 Chicken fajita base
Approx 280–300 cals | 45g protein | 5g fibre
Add wraps, sweet potato, salad, salsa, yoghurt, cheese… whatever you fancy.

🌶️ Chicken Chilli
Approx 280–300 cals | 31g protein | 7.5g fibre
Have it with sweet potato, rice, a loaded jacket potato, wraps, feta, yoghurt etc.

🫐 Yoghurt, oat, berry & seed base
Approx 300 cals | 28g protein | 12g fibre
Then add fruit, nuts, granola, nut butter or whatever you like.

All approximate because I’m not weighing every gram.

If you follow a particular plan or have specific calorie/protein goals, you can portion and build these however works for you.

For me, it’s simply a really easy way to have good, nourishing food ready without deciding every single meal in advance.

Would you like me to share my food prep each Sunday? x

How much do you think this Lidl shop cost me?

I’ve ordered my food shopping online for years because supermarkets used to overwhelm me especially when the kids were little and I was always on a diet!

But I’m actually enjoying going in and having a proper look now.

Nothing rigid, nothing “perfect” just making sure we’ve got some decent protein, proper meals, normal family food and a few treats too.

I’m even thinking of doing a proper meal plan and list for once in my life for the week! I’ll share the meals I make from it as well because that’s the bit I’m most interested in now.

Question where do you think you get the best quality food for the money? Lidl? Aldi? Asda? Tesco? Somewhere else?

If you’ve spent years thinking life will start when your body changes… this is your reminder that you don’t have to keep waiting for it!

Your body can be something you care for, work on, strengthen, change…

But I spent far too many years THINKING about mine.

Now I just want to live in it.
