Giving back to Sturgeon is one of the things we're proudest of, and we're delighted to keep that going.

Our annual Meta Data Centre Community Action Grants are now open for applications. The programme provides direct funding to schools, registered not-for-profits, and community organisations in the places where we have a data centre, and it's one of the many ways Meta gives back to the communities we're part of.

From 14 September to 23 October, we're welcoming applications for projects that address real community needs by:

- Putting technology to use for community benefit
- Enabling people to build strong, sustainable communities
- Improving local science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) education

Whether you've applied before or this is your first time, we'd love to hear from you.

This is what we mean when we say the future is for everyone. 💙

When Brian was looking for products to help the people he serves as an IT trainer at Vision Ireland, he found Ray-Ban Meta glasses and now we're proud to announce a landmark donation of 15,000 Ray-Ban Meta glasses to Vision Ireland -- enough for every blind and visually impaired adult the charity supports.

Back in April, we hosted a demo day at Meta's International HQ in Ballsbridge, where blind and low-vision users got hands-on with Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. The best part wasn't showing off the technology -- it was hearing from people like Brian about the difference these glasses have already made in his daily life.

There's a local connection here, too: our data center in Clonee is part of the infrastructure that makes technology like this possible. The AI behind these glasses runs on data centers -- including one built right here in Meath.

We've seen how this technology can change what's possible for people with sight loss. This partnership means it will reach so many more.

Huge congratulations to all the finalists and winners at this year's Meath Chronicle Meath Community & Sports Awards! 🏆

Meta was proud to sponsor the Best School Project award, celebrating the incredible creativity and dedication of Meath's students, and their teachers. This year saw so many entries that the category was split into Primary and Secondary — a testament to the amazing work happening in schools across the county.

We were especially proud to see a STEAM Meath school among this year's winners, a brilliant reminder of the young talent in our community!

🎓 What a privilege to join the judging panel at the LMETB Further Education and Training - Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre of Excellence Project Awards last week!

Now in its fifth year, this brilliant programme gives Transition Year students across Louth and Meath hands-on experience with design thinking, 3D printing and advanced manufacturing — and the creativity on display was truly inspiring.

17 finalist teams presented solutions to real-world problems. What stood out was the engineering mindset — students identified problems, iterated on their designs, and developed real technical skills in 3D modelling and printing alongside creative thinking and teamwork.

Huge congratulations to all the students and teachers involved, and to overall winners 'Drip Clip' from Ó Fiaich College, Dundalk! 👏

Meta has announced a partnership with Noon Energy to advance ultra-long-duration energy storage—technology that can store renewable energy for over 100 hours, far beyond today's typical battery systems.

This kind of grid-scale storage helps maximise renewable sources by keeping clean power available even when the sun isn't shining or the wind isn't blowing.
