Breath Note • 03
Your breath and your body are constantly communicating with one another.
By learning to work with this relationship, you can begin to alter your state of being.
Start by slowing the breath. Inhale deeply into the belly through the nose, then exhale slowly and steadily through the mouth. As the breath settles, the body naturally begins to soften.
The relationship also works in the other direction. By consciously relaxing the body—softening the shoulders, the hands, the feet, and anywhere else you notice tension—the breath naturally becomes slower and easier.
The breath follows the body, and the body follows the breath.
The more you practise working with both, the easier it becomes to find a greater sense of calm, balance, and presence.
Take a moment to breathe. You deserve it.
