From the time I was little, all I wanted was to be around animals. I was that kid who rescued anything with a heartbeat — and who stopped to greet every dog, cat, bird, or stray on the way to school. Once, two dogs even followed me into the school because I couldn’t resist giving them attention 😂

I didn't understand back then that pets provide immediate nervous system regulation.

Did you know that just having a pet lay on you (pressure‑point therapy) can lower heart rate, blood pressure, and cortisol?

I always felt more understood by animals than I did by most people. There’s a purity in the way they love — no malice, no hidden agenda, no confusion. Just presence. Just truth. Just connection. It’s especially helpful to bring them into healing for trauma.

Some souls are kept alive by people…
