🩷ERN ReCONNET stands with the global community on !🌍

What is ?🩸
Antiphospholipid Syndrome is a systemic autoimmune disease defined by thromboembolic events (arterial, venous, or small vessel) and/or obstetric morbidity, in the persistent presence of antiphospholipid (aPL) antibodies, detected through:
• Lupus anticoagulant
• Anticardiolipin antibodies
• Anti-beta-2 glycoprotein I antibodies

APS can occur on its own (Primary APS) or alongside other autoimmune conditions, most commonly systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Early diagnosis and access to expert care can make a real difference for patients and families living with this complex condition.

💪 The ERN ReCONNET APS Disease Group continues to build and share a dedicated collection of resources for healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers, led by our chairs:
🔹Maria Tektonidou
🔹Savino Sciascia
🔹Silvia Aguilera
🔹Jamy Scheerhoorn-Pullen

🎓 ERN ReCONNET Webinar | Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS)

We are pleased to announce the upcoming ERN ReCONNET webinar:
“How to find hidden Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS)”

APS is hiding. Can you recognize it?
APS is one of the most elusive autoimmune diseases: heterogeneous presentation, multi-organ involvement, and variable laboratory test results. Cases that seem unexplained, concealing a hidden diagnosis behind unusual clinical and laboratory pictures.
How do you avoid missing it? How do you navigate the complexity when the clinical picture isn't the classic one?
In this webinar, we'll tackle the most challenging cases, the ones where APS disguises itself, to learn how to uncover it even where you least expect it.

👉 Please note that the webinar is available with subtitles in 36 different languages.
