Stop eating your spinach wrong! 🛑🥬

If you are constantly feeling tired or dealing with low iron, it might not be what you’re eating, it might be how you’re eating it.

There are two types of iron: heme (from animal products) and non-heme (from plants). Plant-based iron is notoriously stubborn and hard for your gut to absorb.

The Fix? Enter Vitamin C. 🍊
When you pair iron-rich foods with Vitamin C, it changes the chemical structure of the iron, making it vastly easier for your body to absorb.

Easy combos to try:

Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice over your spinach or kale.

Toss diced bell peppers into your lentil soup.

Have a handful of strawberries with your morning oatmeal.

Quick Tip: Avoid drinking coffee or black tea with your meals, as the tannins in them can actually block iron absorption!
