Today, I’m heading to Paris for another sold-out Creative Calling weekend. 🇫🇷✨
And this time, the room will bring together women from 🇺🇸 the US, 🇩🇪 Germany, 🇫🇷 France and 🇳🇱 the Netherlands.
Three days of creativity, conversations, recovery, new ideas — and hopefully a little bit of magic.
It feels a long way from where this story began. And as a writer by 🩷 I can’t believe this is happening.
A few years ago, I went to Nepal because I wanted to get away from my life.
I was living in Singapore with my husband and our two-year-old daughter, building United Letters, and feeling caught between motherhood and work.
I thought I needed to escape the outside world.
But somewhere beneath the Himalayan stars, I discovered something much more interesting:
The world inside me.
That experience changed how I think about creativity, work and recovery.
Because sometimes we don’t need another strategy.
We need space.
Space to breathe.
Space to think.
Space to reconnect with ourselves.
Space to hear the ideas that usually get drowned out by everything else filling our days.
That’s what I love about bringing women together in places like Paris.
Different countries. Different businesses. Different lives.
And yet, so many of the same questions:
✨ How do I want to work?
✨ What do I want to create?
✨ What kind of life do I want to build along the way?
You have to believe it’s possible before you can build it.
And maybe that’s one of the reasons Creative Calling has grown into what it is today:
A space for ambitious, creative women to step outside their usual environments, spend a few days together, and give themselves permission to both create and recover.
I can’t wait to see what happens in Paris. ❤️
