Kathmandu Model Hospital – Institute of Health Sciences (KMH-IHS) has provided two RCEC-trained nurses, Simanta Koirala and Guna maya Jirel, to support the Red Cross Emergency Clinic (RCEC) operated by the Nepal Red Cross Society in Bidur, Nuwakot. The nurses will provide healthcare services to people affected by the floods in the Bhotekoshi area.

This humanitarian initiative is expected to make a significant contribution to expanding access to healthcare services for affected communities during times of disaster.

Fistula Awareness Session at KMH-IHS

The Department of Gynaecology conducted a Fistula Awareness Class for the 3rd-year students of Kathmandu Model Hospital Institute of Health Sciences (KMH-IHS).

The session was facilitated by Dr. Dikchya, who provided students with valuable knowledge and awareness about fistula, its prevention, and the importance of timely diagnosis and treatment.

काठमाडौं । महिलाको स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षालाई प्राथमिकता दिँदै काठमाडौं मोडेल अस्पतालको प्राविधिक सहयोग, भौमचा पुचः, खिचापोखरीको सहयोग तथा शहरी स्वास्थ्य प्रवर्द्धन केन्द्र–२२, सुन्धाराको आयोजनामा निःशुल्क स्तन तथा पाठेघरको मुखको क्यान्सर परीक्षण कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न भएको छ।

महिलामा हुने स्तन तथा पाठेघरको मुखको क्यान्सरको समयमै पहिचान तथा रोकथाम गर्ने उद्देश्यले आयोजना गरिएको उक्त स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण कार्यक्रममा महिलाहरूको स्वास्थ्य परीक्षणसँगै आवश्यक स्वास्थ्य परामर्शसमेत प्रदान गरिएको थियो।

कार्यक्रममा HPV DNA Test (Human Papillomavirus), VIA, Abdominal Pelvic USG तथा Breast USG लगायतका स्वास्थ्य परीक्षणहरू निःशुल्क रूपमा गरिएको थियो। स्वास्थ्य परीक्षणमार्फत सम्भावित स्वास्थ्य समस्या प्रारम्भिक चरणमै पहिचान गरी आवश्यक उपचार तथा थप स्वास्थ्य परामर्शका लागि सहयोग पुर्‍याउने उद्देश्य रहेको आयोजकले जनाएको छ।

महिलाहरूमा स्तन तथा पाठेघरको मुखको क्यान्सरसम्बन्धी जनचेतना अभिवृद्धि गर्नुका साथै नियमित स्वास्थ्य परीक्षणको महत्वबारे जानकारी गराउने उद्देश्यले कार्यक्रम आयोजना गरिएको हो।

कार्यक्रममा काठमाडौं मोडेल अस्पतालका स्वास्थ्यकर्मी तथा प्राविधिक टोलीले स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण तथा स्वास्थ्य सेवामा प्राविधिक सहयोग गरेका थिए। शहरी स्वास्थ्य प्रवर्द्धन केन्द्र–२२ तथा भौमचा पुचः, खिचापोखरीको समन्वयमा सम्पन्न कार्यक्रममा सहभागी महिलाहरूले निःशुल्क स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण तथा आवश्यक स्वास्थ्य परामर्शको सेवा लिएका थिए।

कार्यक्रममा महिलाको स्वास्थ्यसँग सम्बन्धित समस्या समयमै पहिचान गर्न नियमित स्वास्थ्य परीक्षणको महत्वबारे समेत जानकारी गराइएको थियो। सहभागी महिलाहरूलाई स्वास्थ्य परीक्षणपछि आवश्यक स्वास्थ्य सल्लाह तथा थप परीक्षण वा उपचार आवश्यक परेमा सम्बन्धित स्वास्थ्य संस्थामा सम्पर्क गर्न सुझाव दिइएको थियो।

आयोजकका अनुसार, महिलाको स्वास्थ्यसम्बन्धी समस्या समयमै पहिचान तथा रोकथाम गर्न यस्ता स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण कार्यक्रमले महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका खेल्ने भएकाले आगामी दिनमा पनि महिला स्वास्थ्य केन्द्रित कार्यक्रमलाई निरन्तरता दिइनेछ।

Health Camp Program Successfully Concluded
Date: 21 Ashoj 2083 (Wednesday)
Venue: Urban Health Centre, Bidur Municipality–8, Battar, Nuwakot
In collaboration with Lions Club of Kathmandu Wonder Woman and Kathmandu Model Hospital (KMH-IHS), a “Comprehensive Health Camp Program” was successfully conducted with the objective of providing support to the flood-affected people of Rasuwa.
The following services were provided during the health camp:
• General Physician Services
• Gynecology Services
• Mental Health Services
• Distribution of PPE Suits, Face Shields, and Masks
Through this program, essential healthcare services and health-safety materials were provided to the flood-affected people and the local community.
