๐ŸŒผ Weโ€™re Looking for a Special Person to Join Senior Friends care and Senior friends - Companionship and care service

We are looking for a kind, caring and experienced person with plenty of common sense who is passionate about helping older people maintain a good quality of life.

Senior Friends provides personalised one-on-one care and companionship, visiting people in their own homes and in care homes. We currently have part-time contract hours available for the right person.

This could suit someone currently working in aged care who would like additional hours, or perhaps a retired nurse or experienced caregiver looking for flexible, meaningful work.

Our visits are about much more than simply being there. We want someone who will get to know each client, understand their interests and abilities, and create personalised activities, companionship and assisted outings that bring joy and connection into their lives.

A full driverโ€™s licence is essential, as part of the role involves taking our clients on assisted outings and appointments.

The successful person will also be police vetted and reference checked as part of our recruitment process.

If you are warm, reliable, creative and genuinely enjoy spending time with older people, we would love to hear from you.
Please private message me for more information.

Senior friends - Companionship and care service

THIS IS MILICAS STORY ๐Ÿ’œ

When our team first met Milica, her family were providing all of her day-to-day care. As her dementia progressed and her needs increased, Senior Friends stepped in to provide additional support, eventually visiting three times a day, seven days a week.

With regular visits, reassurance, personal cares, meaningful activities, appointments and outings, we were able to help Milica remain safely and comfortably in her own home for two more years, while providing much-needed support and reassurance to her family.

An important part of Milicaโ€™s care was continually assessing her changing mobility needs and potential hazards within the home. Our experienced team worked closely with her family to make important decisions that helped keep Milica safe, while maintaining her dignity, independence and comfort.

Everything we did was personalised around Milica her needs, her routines and the things that brought her happiness. We built meaningful connections and got to know the little things that made her smile, including her very special love for Elvis Presley! ๐ŸŽถ

Our team are experienced caregivers who genuinely care about the people we support. Meaningful care isn't simply completing a list of tasks. It's about knowing the person, building trust, keeping them safe and creating moments of happiness, while supporting the whole family.
We feel incredibly privileged to have been part of Milicaโ€™s story.

Care Home & Dementia Care Visits - One-on-One Support ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

Here at Senior Friends, we provide personalised one-on-one visits, helping families feel reassured that their loved one is receiving meaningful individual time, companionship and support.

Whether your loved one is in a hospital-level care unit, rest home, or dementia care unit, our visits are tailored to their individual needs, interests and abilities.

Depending on your loved one, we can incorporate:

๐ŸŽจ Personalised activities and meaningful engagement

๐Ÿ’› Gentle companionship and comfort care

โ˜• Shared morning teas or cafรฉ visits

๐Ÿš— Special outings, scenic drives, little adventures and social engagements ( Birthdays - weddings - funerals).

๐ŸŒฟ Walks and time outdoors

๐Ÿพ Visits with our much-loved therapy dog Roxy

While care homes do an amazing job, we understand that their staff-to-resident ratio means care isnโ€™t always one-to-one. Senior Friends provides that extra dedicated time and personal connection.

We also build positive relationships with care home staff and provide families with an update after our visits.

For busy families, those living further away, or anyone wanting that extra one-on-one support for someone they love, weโ€™re here to help.
