Nine Healing Arts

Nine Healing Arts Nine Healing Arts created by Jenine Kerr offering, Dynamic Thai Massage,,Sound Healing ,yoga & breath Thai massage promotes general health and wellbeing.

Nine Healing Arts brings together the practices of yoga, sound healing, breathwork and Thai yoga massage. Jenine has studied yoga, meditation, yoga nidra and sound healing in Rishikesh and Mysore, India. Also studied traditional Thai massage in Ko Phung Nang, Thailand. she compliments the traditional practice with dynamic and osteothai massage learned from the Sunshine network teachers training ac

ross Europe - in Berlin, Athens and Switzerland. These practices overlap and intertwine into an intricate web of healing modalities. Jenine uses the word 'healing' in a sense of a tool to assist you in your own healing, as opposed to saying that 'I heal you'. B O D Y W O R K

The sacred dance of Thai bodywork is a dance between two bodies, where Jenine combines learned techniques based in traditional Thai massage, dynamic thai massage, osteothai massage and craniosacral therapy. Jenine works intuitively with the application of rhythmic pressure on certain energy points and lines in the body, yogic stretching of muscles and joint manipulation so that blockages can be released and the energy restored to its natural flow. It has a double purpose. On the preventive side, it activates a free flow of energy and improves fluid circulation, digestion, breathing capacity, body posture, flexibility, and can help release nervous tension. On the therapeutic side, it can relieve a large number of pathologies such as lower back pain, headaches, digestive problems, stress, insomnia, nervous imbalance, neck and shoulder muscular tightness, just to name a few. The massage is done on a futon mat on the floor with the receiver fully clothed in loose comfortable clothing. The treatment can sometimes be static in technique (sinking deeply into a meditative state) and sometimes quite dynamic. B R E A T H W O R K

Yogic breathwork is called 'Pranayama', a Sanskrit word meaning
“extension of the life force”. With awareness, we can use breathwork to break through barriers in our life. It has the power to help us overcome blocks or stressors that create anxiety, depression, grief and fear. With conscious breath, we can fuel our own healing and transformation and bring a new level of expansion to our lives. In Jenines breathwork circles, she guides you through the ancient eastern breathing technique, holding space for you to do the work and be in control of your own healing. The method often does not come easy; obstacles in our minds often confront us. The power of a group setting can help us break through these barriers. Jenine complements these breathwork sessions with different sound healing instruments including an ocean drum, Tibetan singing bowls, chau gong, koshi bells and tuning forks.

“Breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness, which unites your body to your thoughts.”

‘’Yoga is a ritual I give to myself. A space to feel, to listen, to find calm and stillness in the mind." - UNION

"My practice brings me wholeness, allows me to confront challenges and stress in life and move the energy through the body. Yoga and meditation have held space for me to surrender and let go. I practice yoga to not only challenge my body and mind but also to find softness and balance.
Yoga has helped me evolve into being a more conscious and mindful being, which is something I'm forever working on. I will forever be a student of the practice." Jenine teaches to simply hold space. Give guidance and direction. Sharing these practices and knowledge she has accumulated over the years feels like a beautiful gift to share from her heart. In Jenine's classes you will find a creative flow rooted in Vinyasa style of yoga. Focus is on the connection of breath and movement in relation to balance and harmony. Expect freedom in your practice, as Jenine will adapt to your level and help you practice in the moment. With guidance you to be intuitive with what your body needs in the moment and to experience deep listening in this moving meditation. With lightness and laughter, not taking yourself too seriously, you will have an opportunity to explore what your body needs, to go deep and challenge yourself. Jenine's classes will often include breathwork (Pranayama) and sound healing modalities.

Hello, Lovelies 🤍

Over the last few days, I've been quietly getting to know a new gong that has recently arrived in my life. It feels strangely full circle.

Music has been a thread woven through my life for as long as I can remember.

In my younger years, it was punk and post-punk, raw, emotional, alive. Later came dance floors, festivals, techno, and Berlin nights.

A different kind of immersion, but the same fascination: the way sound could move us, change feeling, alter experience.

Music wasn't just something I listened to. It shaped how I moved through the world. That curiosity eventually led me somewhere unexpected. India.

After discovering yoga, I spent time in ashrams, immersed in practice, philosophy and mantra.

I remember one evening in the Shivananda Ashram in Madurai, chanting, and quietly reflecting: wow… my life has changed. From dancing all night in Berlin to sitting in devotional song. And somehow, music was still there. Just transformed, not something to escape into, but something to come home through.

Then, in 2017, I received a sound healing with Tibetan singing bowls that profoundly shifted something in me. Deeply immersive, expansive, unlike anything before. I felt completely transported, as though I'd gone somewhere beyond myself. And in that moment it became clear: I needed to work with sound.

So when I saw this gong, something in me just knew. The Nada Brahma — "sound is creation" — handcrafted by French artist Rémi Bonneau, who shapes and tunes each gong by ear. I was drawn to its flowing, uneven lines, like resonance in visual form.

After sitting with it for a few days, I notice how different it feels. A deep, soft resonance. Lower than my other gongs, yet gentler. And strangely… familiar — those low frequencies remind me of Berlin nights, immersive sound systems, sound moving through the body.

Different worlds, perhaps. Yet somehow connected. Maybe my relationship with sound has never really changed, only deepened.

For those joining me at the 23rd June Gong Bath at the Theosophical Society, this beautiful new resonance will be with us.

A gentle beginning . . .
