Still in Love with You Solo, Part 1:

This solo reminds me of living in Castor Bay. I was 16 and I used to learn this solo on my record player. No slow speed, no rewind, just lifting the needle on and off again and again until I learnt every note.
Playing rock guitar was my passion and my dream.
I never imagined that all these years later I’d still be able to play this solo, It takes me straight back to that house in Castor Bay, and to those good times.
Hendrix will always be my favourite, but Gary Moore taught me so much about melody, bending & pitching notes. His playing with that Irish soul had something that stays with you.
Yes Gary, I’m still in love with your music. Very much so. 🎸 Part 2 coming soon.

Some Mamma n' Papa trivia.

Did you know I spelt Mamma n' papa the same as Guns n' Roses.
When we were living in Castor bay it was 1996 Appetite for destruction was my favourite album. But my favorite guitarist was Gary Moore and I would copy his solos note for note. The song 'Still in love with you' with Phil Lynott taught me how to bend notes and play soulfully. I will post it up soon.
