🕯️ International Overdose Awareness Day 🕯️
Today, we remember and honor the lives we’ve lost to overdose.
Each person was someone’s loved one, friend, family member, neighbor, or someone who mattered deeply. Their lives were more than the way they died, and their memories deserve to be carried forward with compassion and dignity.
Today is also a reminder that overdose is preventable, recovery is possible, and no one should have to face substance use alone.
Let’s continue to replace stigma with understanding, judgment with compassion, and silence with support. Whether someone is in recovery, still struggling, grieving a loss, or simply trying to help a loved one; there is hope, and there is help.
Today we remember.
Today we raise awareness.
Today we support those still here.
And today, we choose compassion. 💜
Gone but never forgotten. Lives saved are lives worth fighting for.
