Happy Labor Day! 🧑

To the parents and caregivers doing one of the hardest jobs there is β€” often before the sun's up and long after everyone else clocks out β€” we see you.

And to our RBTs, BCBAs, and LBS clinicians who show up with the same consistency and care every day β€” thank you too.

Labor isn't always paid. Sometimes it's a bedtime routine, a hard conversation, or just getting through the day. All of it counts, and always will.

To everyone doing the work β€” happy Labor Day!

Play isn't just fun β€” it's foundational.

Play is one of the most natural ways to build real skills: memory, communication, motor coordination, focus, and connection with others. It doesn't have to look a certain way to count. Stacking blocks, flipping through a book, tossing a ball back and forth β€” it's all doing something.

We build play into our sessions because it works with a child's natural curiosity, not against it. No pressure, no "right" way to play β€” just space to explore and grow at their own pace.

This work isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth it.

To the caregivers building new routines, the professionals putting in the daily work, and the families navigating it all β€” keep going. Progress doesn’t have to be big to count.

We’re glad to be part of it with you. πŸ’œ

BCBAs need mentors too! πŸ’™

In this blog post, Heather MacDhubhain reflects on the mentors who shaped her career and the lessons she now carries into her role guiding others at Centria. From learning to ask for help, to knowing when a relationship no longer fits, her story is a great reminder that you don’t have to do it alone.

Her top takeaway? A mentor doesn’t need a formal title. Seek out people you admire, ask questions, and stay open to learning.
