Siting in my studio before a session

I looked over in this corner and smiled

This Guan Yin statue fits so perfectly here

She arrived in my mailbox on Friday right before the retreat

I did not remember buying her

I apparently have added her to my Amazon cart and when I ordered my air fryer, I ordered her along with it without remembering it

She was part of our healing altar on Saturday’s retreat

I was going to place her somewhere in our home but she didn’t feel like she belonged there

Brought her to the studio and found her this corner

She adds such a lightness into the space

My heart is grateful

THE MORNING AFTER THE RETREAT

This morning, as I sat in meditation with music playing softly in the background, I found myself overwhelmed with gratitude.

Yesterday's retreat was everything I could have hoped for and more.

As I reflected on the day, my heart filled with appreciation for everyone who played a role in bringing it to life.

From those who offered encouragement and guidance, to those who helped behind the scenes, to those who held the vision with me along the way—thank you.

This retreat was not something I created alone. It was made possible through the support, generosity, and belief of many people.

It truly took a village.

And to every participant who showed up with an open heart, an open mind, and a willingness to trust the process—thank you.

Your presence, vulnerability, and courage created the space for something truly beautiful to unfold.

What we experienced together was made possible because each of you showed up fully and authentically.

As I sit with the memories of yesterday, I am reminded of the power of community and what can happen when people gather with intention.

My heart is full of gratitude for every person who helped make this day possible and for every soul who shared in the experience.

Thank you for being part of this beautiful unfolding.

Next Level One Shoden Reiki Training is scheduled for July 25th, 2026

My approach to teaching Reiki is rooted in building a strong foundation in the practice, history, and traditions of Reiki before moving into intuitive work. I believe intuition is most powerful when it is supported by understanding, structure, respect for the lineage of the practice, and commitment to consistent practice.

To me, Reiki is a personal and committed practice with the goal of cultivating inner peace, presence, and healing in the here and now. In my classes, students learn the core principles and techniques thoroughly, creating a grounded and stable practice.

From that foundation, I encourage each student to develop their own intuitive connection and personal relationship with Reiki in a way that feels authentic and aligned.

I believe learning continues long after class ends. I remain available to support my students as they grow in their practice and offer regular virtual Reiki practice opportunities to help students stay connected, deepen their understanding, and continue developing their skills within a supportive community.

My goal as a teacher is to support your growth and evolution along your spiritual journey, whatever that may look like for you. I believe real growth sometimes asks us to move through discomfort, self-reflection, and change, and I strive to hold space for that process with honesty, presence, and compassion.

I understand that I may not be the right teacher for everyone, but I am committed to supporting my students to the best of my ability and honoring each individual’s unique path.

Music is my spiritual portal.

That came to me while I was driving and listening to music the other day.

What is a spiritual portal?

According to Google:

"A spiritual portal is a conceptual gateway or energetic bridge connecting the physical world to higher dimensions, alternate realms of consciousness, or the spiritual divine."

I was a quiet and shy child, and music has always been my gateway of expression.

It is why I was drawn to music therapy work and now sound healing work.

I woke up this morning and could feel so much churning within myself.

I spent time outside with my qigong practice, and my body settled somewhat.

Then I came inside, found this musician on YouTube, and started playing his music.

I found myself being pulled into it.

I closed my eyes.

I simply sat with my breath and his music.

Tears started to rise from within.

And I simply allowed them to flow.

No, I am not sad.

But something wanted to release, and instead of suppressing it, I allowed it.

I then moved into a breathing technique taught by another qigong teacher and simply sat with the energy of it all.

While sitting, an inner realization surfaced.

I have been on a journey of reducing sodium in my diet this past two weeks.

Reducing sodium in my diet was not just a detox for my physical body

It was also a detox for my emotional and spiritual body.

Everything is connected.

When you start paying attention to your sodium levels, you begin noticing how much "junk" you have been consuming on a daily basis.

You begin eliminating processed foods and additives and moving toward foods that are more whole and nourishing.

Much like life.

How much contamination are we allowing into our emotional and spiritual lives?

Social media.

News.

Opinions of others.

Constant noise.

Where are we not strong with our boundaries?

Where are we not secure within ourselves?

As my physical body is cleansing, I am realizing my emotional and spiritual world is cleansing too.

Spirituality is about learning to manage everyday things.

Your home.

Your relationships.

Your work.

Your environment.

Your mindset.

Your finances.

When these things become grounded, rooted, and secure...

The rest follows.

And oh yes...

This is how music is my portal.

It connects me to something deeper within myself.

Through music.

Through practice.

Through presence.

This space is more than just a room—it is a place of healing and deeper connection with your mind,body and spirit ✨

This is where I often sit to nurture my own spirit and where I welcome clients and students for Reiki classes, energy healing sessions, and small curated events.

Today, I spent most of the day here rearranging and adding new elements to the space—creating with intention and listening to what the space needed to feel even more aligned. 🪷

Something really special happens when time and energy is spent tending to a space that holds so many healing moments

Last week after meditation, someone asked me a simple question:

“What does your practice actually look like?”

I thought the answer would be easy.

Instead, it made me realize something unexpected.

I wrote a new reflection about embodiment, practice, Reiki, qigong, and what happens when something stops being something you do and starts becoming something you live.
