👨‍⚕️ Men’s Health Week | June 15–21 💙

This week is a reminder for men of all ages to take charge of their health—one step at a time. National Men’s Health Week focuses on preventing health issues through early detection, routine exams, and caring for both physical and mental well-being.
✅ Schedule your annual physical
✅ Get routine blood work done
✅ Check in on your mental health

For those in the Kossuth County area, taking that first step can be as simple as booking an appointment with a local provider like Kossuth Regional Health Center, offering preventive care and wellness services to keep you feeling your best.

📅 Don’t wait—your health matters today and every day.

One gallon was distributed to local daycares, where RN Cede Becker also led fun, age‑appropriate lessons on sun safety. Teaching kids early helps build healthy habits and reduce skin cancer risk! 💛

☀️ How to Protect Your Skin from Sunlight

Choose a wide-brim hat that shades your face, neck, and ears.
Wear long sleeves and pants made of tightly woven, darker fabrics.
Look for clothing with a high UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) rating.

Use sunglasses that block UV radiation to help shield the delicate skin around your eyes.

• Apply sunscreen

Use sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher (many experts recommend SPF 30+).
Apply it 30 minutes before going outside.
Reapply every 2 hours, or after swimming or sweating.
