With warmer weather and more time spent outdoors, this is a reminder to check your skin after being outside.

During a recent exam, Heather Davis, PA-C found a tick on a patient.

Your provider is looking closely from head to toe, including areas that can be hard to check yourself like your scalp, back, and behind the ears.

Found a tick? Remove it carefully with tweezers, place it in a plastic bag, and check your local county resources or the PA Tick Research Lab to learn how to submit a tick for testing.

Don't let anyone else get under your skin.
