Funny how Facebook memories can stop you in your tracks…

These healthy meal photos popped up from 6 years ago, and my first thought was: honestly, these could have been from almost any random day over the past 20 years.

Not because I’ve done it perfectly.
Not because I’ve followed one rigid diet.
Not because I’ve never struggled.

But because this really is how I live.

The coaching I give my clients is the same kind of grounded, realistic, personalized approach I’ve practiced in my own life for almost two decades.

It’s not a diet. It’s a lifestyle.
It’s not about perfection. It’s about balance.
It’s not one-size-fits-all. Your version of “healthy” should actually fit you — your body, your goals, your season of life, your real schedule, and your real challenges.

There is so much hype out there right now around food, health, weight loss, hormones, supplements, and “quick fixes.” And yes, sometimes there are foundational truths buried in the noise… but those truths still need to be customized to the person.

That’s where real coaching matters.

I don’t teach this because it’s trendy.
I teach it because I live it, I’ve struggled through it, I’ve learned from it, and I know how powerful it can be when healthy living feels doable instead of overwhelming.

So if you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by all the conflicting advice out there, start here: choose one small thing that feels doable today. And if you want help figuring out what that looks like for your body and your life, I’m always happy to have that conversation. 💚

Morning rituals don’t have to be complicated to be powerful. ☕️✨

This is one of my favorite parts of my morning routine — coffee, collagen, cinnamon, and a few quiet minutes before the day gets moving.

I’ve been using Designs for Health Whole Body Collagen consistently for about 3 years, and it remains one of my favorite supplements. It supports joint, skin, hair, nail, and bone health — all things that become even more important as we move through our 40s, 50s, and beyond.

And here’s the personal part: my own DEXA scan results have reflected the progress I’ve been working toward — and while no single supplement gets all the credit, this has been one intentional piece of my bigger bone-health strategy, along with strength training, protein, mineral support, lifestyle habits, and consistency.

Whole Body Collagen contains targeted collagen peptides, including FORTIBONE® for bone health, FORTIGEL® for joint/cartilage support, and VERISOL® for skin health. What I love is that this isn’t random supplementing — it’s targeted support for goals that matter in midlife.

And bonus: it gives me 11g of protein, which helps me work toward my daily protein goals. Small habits add up.

My current coffee combo:

☕️ Cuban blend coffee from my favorite local Richmond spot,
🥄 Whole Body Collagen
🌿 Organic Ceylon cinnamon for flavor, antioxidants, and potential blood sugar/inflammatory support
🥛 A splash of half & half or my favorite non-dairy creamer from Elmhurst

The right supplements, at the right time, thoughtfully personalized for the right goals, can be a supportive part of your foundational nutrition and lifestyle plan.

Not every supplement is right for every person — and more is not always better. But when chosen intentionally, supplements can help fill the gaps and support the vibrant, strong, healthy life you want to keep living.

Wondering if collagen might be a good fit for you?

“Healthy” isn’t about being perfect.

It’s not about denying yourself constantly, being overly restrictive, or following someone else’s version of what wellness should look like.

Healthy is about finding your version of balance.

Making room for the foods, traditions, celebrations, and people that bring you joy — while still caring for the body you want to live vibrantly in.

My version of healthy doesn’t need to look like your version. And your version doesn’t need to look like mine.

And if anyone tells you that “healthy” is a one-size-fits-all approach, without considering your needs, your life, your preferences, your history, and your goals?

Find a new advisor. 😉

Healthy is about balance.

Your balance.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! 🌮🍹

Happy Earth Day 🌎
Today is a good reminder that health isn’t just about what we eat — it’s also about how we live, breathe, move, and connect.

Fresh air, sunshine, movement, and time in nature are powerful forms of nourishment too.

Getting outside may seem simple, but it can do so much for stress, mood, and overall well-being.

Today, I’m grateful for this beautiful planet and the reminder to slow down, soak it in, and keep moving forward.

Progress, not perfection.

If you’re trying to create a new routine, start here:

3 tips to create new habits 👇
1. Habit stack it: attach the new habit to something you already do.
After I brush my teeth + put on PJs → I set out my workout clothes / pack my gym bag.
2. Make it tiny: aim for a version you can do on your busiest day.
10 minutes counts. One healthy lunch counts. Showing up counts.
3. Add a “reward anchor”: pair it with something you enjoy.
After my walk/run → I grab a coffee/tea I love.

3 tips to build a supportive environment 🏡
1. Create a “go spot”: clear a small space for morning movement (mat, shoes, bands).
2. Make healthy the default: restock your pantry/fridge with satisfying staples you’ll actually eat.
3. Make hydration easy: keep a stainless steel or glass water bottle where you’ll see it.

Missed a day? You didn’t fail. You’re practicing. Pick up where you are and keep going. 💚

What habit are you building this week?
