A setback doesn't erase your progress; it simply adds to your experience.

If you’ve stopped your daily walk, missed a few healthy meals, or let stress take the wheel recently, remember: you are not starting from zero. You know more about yourself, your strength, and your needs today than you did six months ago.

You can use every lesson you've learned to build your next chapter. Your health is worth the investment, and it is never too late to begin again.

This Memorial Day, my heart is filled with profound gratitude. As a health and wellness coach, I spend my days helping cancer survivors navigate their paths to healing, resilience, and renewed life. But today, we pause to honor those who gave everything so that we have the freedom to pursue those paths.

To our fallen heroes, we owe a debt of gratitude that can never truly be repaid. To our veterans, current service members, and the incredibly resilient families who stand beside them, thank you. Your courage, sacrifice, and dedication are the bedrock of our nation.

While Memorial Day weekend often brings backyard barbecues and the unofficial start of summer, let’s ensure we keep the true heart of the holiday at the center of our celebrations.

Here are 3 meaningful ways you can respectfully honor and remember our fallen heroes this weekend:

1. Observe the National Moment of Remembrance
No matter where you are or what you are doing, pause at 3:00 PM local time on Monday for one minute of silence. It is a powerful, unifying moment to collectively reflect on the true cost of our freedom.

2. Share a Story or Learn a Name
The brave men and women we lost were more than just statistics; they were authors of incredible stories. Take some time to read about a fallen hero, visit a local memorial, or ask a veteran in your life to share a memory of a comrade they lost. Keeping their memories alive is the highest form of respect.

3. Support a Gold Star Family or Veteran Organization
The sacrifice of a fallen soldier ripples deeply through their family and community. Consider making a donation, volunteering, or simply reaching out to a military family you know to let them know they, and their loved ones, are not forgotten.

"Our nation owes a debt to its fallen heroes that we can never fully repay, but we can honor their sacrifice by living well, loving deeply, and protecting the freedoms they fought for."

Wishing you all a peaceful, healthy, and deeply meaningful Memorial Day.

Are you or a loved one navigating the "mental fog" that often follows a cancer diagnosis or chronic illness? 🧠✨

It’s easy to focus entirely on the physical battle, but your cognitive health is just as vital. On May 6th, I am hosting a deep-dive educational session to help you reclaim your mental clarity and lower your risk for dementia through science-backed lifestyle shifts.

We’ll explore:
✅ How to combat "chemo brain" and chronic fatigue.
✅ The role of diet and social connection in brain health.
✅ Simple, daily activities that boost neuroplasticity.

This event is free and open to everyone, but the live interaction, where you can get your specific questions answered, only happens once! Don’t miss the chance to start clearing the fog.

🗓 When: Wednesday, May 6th | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM CT
📍 Where: Live on Zoom
