Safety first always! 🏍️

My 9 year old got his first set of wheels on his first birthday, his first STACYC e-bike at 3, gas-powered dirt bike at 4, and now he’s rocking this electric dirt bike with confidence and ease.

One thing is non-negotiable: he never rides without a proper fitting helmet. And he’s never allowed to ride his powered bikes on or near a road.

Today’s healthy habit reminder serves double duty as the debate over e-throttle bikes fills my own feed. As a mom whose kid loves motor sports, I worry every single time I see kids and teens on busy roads and sidewalks on these bikes.

These are not toys. They are machines. Kids should be supervised by an adult, wearing proper gear, and responsible for their safety and the safety of others.

So there’s my PSA! ⚡️ Yes, I want everyone to have a healthy smile… but I also don’t want to read about another e-bike accident. 🥺

Oh, yeah… and don’t forget to floss!! 🩵 Shout out to Hudson for being a good sport and making videos with his mom.

Habits take work. And accountability buddies. And a commitment to make a commitment.

My husband and I are helping each other train for life — running after our 9 year old, rowing a boat in case we need to row a boat, and whatever requires us to touch our toes to a bar above our heads. 😅

But we also take care of our teeth and gums because our mouths are the gateway to our bodies, the tools we use for nourishment and communication, and lend to the confidence we bring to our day to day lives.

To be loved so much your patients put you on a T-Shirt 💛 A few years back, Roger spent his 85th birthday with us and he’s intentionally scheduled around each following milestone. We have already scheduled him for his 90th in 2027! 🎉 We are going to have a party!

Never in a million years would my team and I have expected to feel so appreciated by so many people in our community in this way. Dentistry isn’t always fun or easy — on either side of the chair — but when you take the time like we do to build relationships, listen to concerns, and simply want to make people feel GOOD, I suppose it makes a true difference.
