As many of you know, my background is a nurse practitioner in Emergency Medicine and Global Health. I started MedTreks with zero background in business. When I began dreaming up MedTreks - it was 2006 and I was in a dark, concrete mobile clinic in Kenya. I didnāt know where this tiny dream of mine would ever goā¦but in 2020 I decided to take a plunge and grow this little business of adventure, education and travel for medical professionals.
Over these past 12 months, Iāve been surrounded by some of the most inspiring women in business here at the . Entrepreneurship is exciting, lonely, empowering, challenging, uplifting, exhausting but so fun and deeply rewarding. I am so grateful to be part of this program and this community of women, learning the ropes of business and all the different pathways to grow and lead.
This week, we are out here in New York for our Founders Circle - I am surrounded by some of the most incredible women in business, including the amazing herself š«¶š½ What a remarkable woman!
I canāt wait for this next chapter of MedTreks and so honored to be part of this Tory Burch Community. Thank you for following along and for supporting women-owned businesses!
