One patient. Two stages of facial rejuvenation. A transformation that continues to evolve naturally over time.

At age 62, this patient was photographed 4 months after her KalosLift™ and upper blepharoplasty. At this stage, you can already see a more defined jawline and neck, improved facial contour, and a refreshed appearance around the upper eyes, while still looking completely like herself.

One year later, at age 63, she continued her rejuvenation with a lower blepharoplasty with fat transposition and CO₂ laser resurfacing to the cheeks. These photos were taken 3 months after her lower eyelid surgery and laser treatment, and 1 year after her KalosLift™ and upper blepharoplasty.

The KalosLift™ focuses on repositioning the deeper facial and neck tissues to restore more youthful contours and definition. Upper blepharoplasty helps refresh the upper eye area by removing excess skin, while lower blepharoplasty with fat transposition improves under-eye fullness and hollowing to create a smoother transition between the lower eyelid and cheek. CO₂ laser resurfacing was added to improve skin texture, tone, and overall quality.

The goal was not to change her face, but to restore structure, refine the details, and create a refreshed result that still feels natural and true to her.

Individual results and recovery vary.

What helps make KalosLift™ results long-lasting?

A durable facelift result is not created by simply tightening the skin. The deeper facial tissues have to be properly released, repositioned, and securely supported.

During the KalosLift™, Dr. Stong performs a complete release of the deeper muscle and SMAS layer so the tissues can be elevated without relying on tension at the skin surface. Once repositioned, the SMAS flap is secured using periosteal fixation—anchoring the deeper tissues to the strong, stable layer covering the bone.

Fixation is performed at key structural points, including the mastoid bone behind the ear and the zygomatic arch and cheekbone region.

Why does this matter?

The periosteum provides a firm, stable foundation for fixation. By anchoring the repositioned muscle and SMAS to these deeper structures, the lift is supported at the anatomical level where the correction is actually being made rather than asking the skin to hold everything in place.

The goal is not simply to create a tighter appearance. It is to restore the deeper tissues to a more youthful position and secure them there with strong structural support.

That philosophy is central to the KalosLift™:
complete release → vertical repositioning → deep fixation → minimal reliance on skin tension.

5.5 months post-rhinoplasty ✨

This 25-year-old patient is already seeing a beautifully refined, balanced result.

Dr. Benjamin Stong is a double board-certified, fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeon specializing exclusively in facial surgery. He performs rhinoplasty using an open approach, allowing precise reshaping of the nasal structure while creating strong support for a natural, lasting result.

Each rhinoplasty is completely customized. During consultation, Dr. Stong evaluates the nose from multiple angles, discusses your goals in detail, and includes a personalized morphing session to help visualize potential changes before surgery.

Rhinoplasty is performed under general anesthesia in our private, accredited in-office surgical suite with a board-certified MD anesthesiologist.

Recovery is structured:
• Day 4–5: Suture removal
• Day 7: Cast removal
• About 1 week of initial downtime
• Swelling and refinement continue to improve over the following months

At 5.5 months, her profile already looks softer, more refined, and beautifully balanced with the rest of her features.

“I did it for me.”

At 51 and about 7 weeks after her KalosLift™ and upper blepharoplasty, this patient shared something that perfectly captures what facial rejuvenation can mean on a personal level.

She remembers seeing a photograph of herself and noticing the deep lines around her nasolabial folds. In her words, she felt like she looked “like a puppet.” It was not about what anyone else thought. It was about what she saw when she looked at herself.

Now, even if no one said a single thing about her results, she says she would still know the difference.

Because she did this for herself.

Facial rejuvenation does not have to be about looking like someone else. Sometimes it is about wanting your reflection to feel more aligned with how you see yourself and how you feel inside.

At only 7 weeks post-op, she is still early in the healing process. Her KalosLift™ and upper blepharoplasty results will continue to refine over the coming months.

During this visit, she is also undergoing fractional CO₂ laser resurfacing combined with Profound RF microneedling to further address skin texture, fine lines, collagen, elastin, and overall skin quality.

The KalosLift™ works at the deeper structural level to reposition and support the tissues of the face and neck, while CO₂ and Profound RF complement those changes by focusing on the skin itself.

But the most meaningful part of this video is not the procedure.

It is hearing her say that she is happy with what she sees in the mirror.

In an extended deep plane facelift, the skin should be almost a passenger.

The real lifting happens beneath the surface.

Rather than relying on skin tension to create the result, Dr. Stong releases, elevates, and secures the deeper facial tissues and SMAS into a more youthful position. Once that deeper support has been restored, the skin naturally comes along with it.

That distinction matters.

When the skin is asked to do too much of the lifting, the result can appear stretched, or overly pulled. In a properly performed deep plane facelift, the deeper tissues create the structure of the lift, while the skin is allowed to redrape more naturally over the face.

During surgery, Dr. Stong trims the excess skin that is created as a result of the deeper lift, rather than using the skin itself as the primary source of tension.

In other words, the skin is not creating the facelift.

It is reflecting what has already been accomplished underneath.

This is one of the foundational principles behind the KalosLift™, Dr. Stong’s mini extended deep plane facelift. By focusing on deeper structural repositioning, the goal is to restore the cheeks and midface, create a cleaner jawline and neck, and maintain natural facial expression without an overly tightened appearance.

The deeper lift creates the result. The skin follows.

A higher standard in deep plane facelift surgery begins with understanding that meaningful facial rejuvenation is not about simply tightening the skin.

At Kalos Facial Plastic Surgery, Dr. Benjamin Stong’s approach is built around restoring the deeper structural relationships of the face while preserving the features that make each patient look like themselves.

The KalosLift™ is Dr. Stong’s mini extended deep plane facelift, designed to elevate and reposition the deeper facial tissues rather than relying on surface tension alone. By working beneath the skin, the procedure can restore youthful cheek position, refine the jawline, create a smoother neck contour, and improve the overall balance between the midface and lower face.

Vertical elevation of the midface also improves the transition between the lower eyelids and cheeks, creating a more cohesive rejuvenation rather than treating each area in isolation.

This advanced understanding of facial anatomy, tissue release, vector, and repositioning is central to the philosophy behind Kalos as an Advanced Deep Plane Facelift Center of Excellence.

Dr. Stong is a double board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon whose practice is devoted exclusively to cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the face, head, and neck. He completed an AAFPRS-credentialed fellowship under internationally recognized facial plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Jacono in New York and is the only facial plastic surgeon in Georgia with this distinction. He has also been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for 12 consecutive years.

Using precisely controlled radiofrequency energy delivered into the deeper layers of the skin, Profound is designed to activate fibroblasts, the cells responsible for producing collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid.

Why does that matter?

Collagen helps support firmness and structure. Elastin contributes to skin elasticity and resilience. Hyaluronic acid helps maintain hydration and volume within the skin.

By stimulating all three, Profound works to improve skin quality, firmness, texture, and overall laxity over time rather than simply creating a temporary surface-level change.

One of the things we love most about Profound is that it is typically performed as a single treatment. The procedure is done in-office with local numbing injections, and while there is usually about a week of social downtime from swelling and bruising, the remodeling process continues long after the initial recovery.

Results develop gradually as new collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid are produced, with continued improvement typically seen over the following 6–9 months.

For patients looking to improve skin laxity through the lower face and neck, Profound can also be combined with a SubQ treatment beneath the chin when appropriate to further refine the jawline and submental area.

A lasting facelift is not simply about lifting tissue higher. It is about releasing the deeper tissues so they can be properly repositioned.

In deep plane facelift surgery, retaining ligaments and deeper attachments can create downward tension. If they are not adequately released, that tension can pull lifted tissues back toward their original position.

With the KalosLift™, Dr. Stong releases the deeper tissues before vertically repositioning and securing them. This allows the tissues to heal in a new position rather than simply being placed under tension.

The goal is not to stretch the skin or pull the face backward. It is to restore the cheeks and midface, refine the jawline, improve the neck contour, and preserve natural facial character.

Dr. Stong is a double board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon who completed an AAFPRS-credentialed fellowship under Dr. Andrew Jacono in New York. He is the only facial plastic surgeon in Georgia with this distinction and has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for 12 consecutive years.

Proper release allows proper repositioning, which is one of the foundations of a natural, structurally supported facelift result.

The Nefertiti Lift is a Botox treatment designed to soften the downward pull of the platysma, the broad muscle that extends from the neck into the lower face and can contribute to visible neck bands and less definition along the jawline.

By placing Botox along the jawline and upper neck, we can reduce some of that downward muscular pull and allow the lower face to look smoother, more refined, and better defined.

For this treatment, Dr. Stong used 40 units of Botox to target the areas contributing most to tension through the jawline and neck.

The goal is to create a subtle improvement in:
• jawline definition
• visible platysmal banding
• downward pull through the lower face
• overall neck and lower-face contour

For the right patient, it can be a simple way to create a cleaner, more refreshed jawline without surgery.

This 59 year old male patient is shown 5 months after his KalosLift™, Dr. Stong’s mini extended deep plane facelift.

In male facial rejuvenation, preserving facial character and masculine structure is especially important. Rather than relying on skin tightening alone, the KalosLift™ works beneath the skin to elevate and reposition the deeper facial tissues that have descended with age.

At 5 months, you can see improvement throughout the face and neck, including:

• Better cheek and midface support
• A cleaner, more defined jawline
• Improved jowling and lower facial laxity
• A smoother, more youthful neck contour
• A more balanced transition between the lower eyelids and cheeks
• Natural facial expression without an overly tight or “pulled” appearance

Deep plane rejuvenation is designed to restore structure, not simply tighten skin. By repositioning the deeper tissues, Dr. Stong is able to create a more comprehensive result while allowing the skin to redrape naturally over the newly restored facial contours.

And at 5 months, his result is still continuing to refine. While significant improvement is commonly visible by 3–4 months, swelling and tissue remodeling can continue for many months after surgery.

Dr. Ben Stong is a double board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon whose practice is devoted exclusively to procedures of the face, head, and neck. He completed an AAFPRS-credentialed fellowship under Dr. Andrew Jacono in New York and is the only facial plastic surgeon in Georgia with this distinction. He has also been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for 12 consecutive years.

The KalosLift™ is performed under general anesthesia in our private, accredited in-office surgical suite with a board-certified MD anesthesiologist.
